Cabrera (4-2) allowed six runs on five hits and three walks over 5.2 innings Sunday, striking out five and taking a loss against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera gave up three runs in the first two innings, including Mookie Betts' home run to lead off the contest. The 24-year-old kept the Dodgers off the board for three straight innings before he was charged with three more runs in the sixth. Cabrera entered Sunday having yielded just six runs through 38.1 innings on the year, including a four-start scoreless streak that spanned 22.2 frames. He'll carry a 2.45 ERA into his projected start in Atlanta next weekend.

Cabrera (4-1) earned the win over Oakland on Monday, allowing two hits and issuing three walks while striking out seven batters over eight scoreless innings.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera was dominant in the victory, breezing through a career-high eight frames on only 101 pitches. He racked up 15 swinging strikes and punched out seven batters while retiring the final 14 hitters he faced. Since returning from the injured list Aug. 5, Cabrera has made five starts and hasn't given up any runs while notching a 28:10 K:BB over 22.2 innings. Aside from a blowup June 12 when he gave up five runs over 3.2 frames against the Astros, Cabrera has been almost impossible to score upon this season. He carries a tidy 1.41 ERA through 38.1 innings on the campaign.

Cabrera struck out seven in four scoreless innings while allowing three hits, two walks and a hit batsman in a 4-3 win Tuesday against San Diego. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera wasn't as sharp as he had been in his previous two starts but still managed to hold the Padres scoreless. He needed 91 pitches to complete the four frames and was taken out rather than face the top of the lineup a third time. Since returning from an elbow injury at the beginning of August he has now allowed a run in 14.2 innings, striking out 21 and allowing just six singles. His next start will likely be early next week in Oakland.

Cabrera (3-1) allowed three hits and two walks while striking out six across 5.2 scoreless innings to earn the win Thursday against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera took his second turn through the rotation since being activated from the injured list Aug. 5. He generated seven groundball outs and 11 swinging strikes across 91 pitches to shut down the Phillies' offense. Cabrera has been impressive in his pair of starts since returning, throwing 10.2 scoreless frames with a 14:5 K:BB. For the season, he has a 2.05 ERA across just 26.1 innings.

Cabrera is scheduled to start Thursday's series finale in Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
Miami plugged Cabrera back into its rotation in his return from the 15-day injured list Friday, and the right-hander came through with a dominant outing, striking out eight and issuing three walks over five no-hit scoreless innings. Cabrera will be rewarded with another turn Thursday, but unless the Marlins permanently expand to a six-man rotation, he may not be long for a starting role. Trevor Rogers (back) is scheduled to make a rehab start Tuesday for Double-A Jacksonville and could come off the IL to replace Cabrera in the big-league rotation as soon as Sunday.

Cabrera struck out eight batters while walking three in five hitless, scoreless innings Friday against the Cubs. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
A lack of run support meant the Marlins couldn't turn Cabrera's dominance into a win, but the team could hardly have asked for more from the second-year righty. The first inning represented the only time the Cubs would get a runner in scoring position thanks to a pair of walks, and Cabrera ended that jam as quickly as possible with a double play. For the next four frames, all Cabrera would allow was a single two-out walk. The fact that the outing was his first start back from the injured list following a trip to the injured list due to elbow tendinitis makes it all the more impressive. The Marlins' plans for the young righty the rest of the way haven't been officially confirmed, but he'll presumably remain in the rotation as long as he pitches anything close to how he pitched Friday.

Cabrera is starting Friday against the Cubs, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera seemed likely to start Friday after he was reinstated from the 15-day injured list Thursday, and the Marlins confirmed him as the starter a few hours before the start of the game. Over his three starts this season, he's posted a 3.45 ERA and 1.21 WHIP in 15.2 innings. Manager Don Mattingly didn't commit to a pitch count for Cabrera ahead of the game but said that the team will be cautious with him during Friday's start since the right-hander threw just 61 pitches during his final rehab start July 28, McPherson reports.

Cabrera (elbow) was activated from the 15-day injured list and recalled by Miami on Thursday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera has been sidelined since June 15 with right elbow tendinitis. The team has made no formal announcement, but Cabrera is likely to start Friday against the Cubs. The Marlins will likely watch his workload carefully, especially because he threw only 44 pitches in his most recent rehab outing.

Cabrera (elbow) allowed one hit and no walks while striking out seven across five scoreless innings in a rehab appearance with Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera threw 44 pitches in the appearance -- eight fewer than his last rehab outing -- but was extremely efficient. He's made three rehab appearances, so could rejoin the big-league roster for his next turn through the rotation, though the Marlins have not made their intentions clear.

Cabrera (elbow) threw three scoreless innings while striking out seven and walking one with Double-A Pensacola on Friday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera was slated to throw four innings, but he still managed to increase his workload to 52 pitches. He could rejoin the Marlins rotation on his next turn through the rotation, though the team could opt to also send him on another rehab outing to further build his arm strength.
