Cabrera departed Wednesday's start against the Royals due to a blister on his right hand, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports. He allowed one run on two hits and two walks over five innings before exiting.
EDGE Analysis
Marlins manager Skip Schumaker and the team's trainer checked on Cabrera prior to the sixth inning before walking off the field with the righty. Cabrera struck out four batters and threw 65 pitches over his five frames before being lifted. More clarity on his status for his next start should be available in the coming days.

Cabrera (4-4) earned the win Friday, allowing four hits and one walk across six scoreless innings in a 4-0 win over the Athletics. He struck out 10.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera took advantage of a favorable matchup and recorded double-digit strikeouts for the second time this year while posting his first scoreless outing. The right-hander's 4.50 ERA and 1.43 WHIP aren't enticing, but he's struck out 76 batters over his first 58 innings, giving him a stellar 11.8 K/9 (fifth best in MLB). Cabrera will look to build off his strong start next time out, which is tentatively scheduled for the finale of a three-game set versus Kansas City.

Cabrera allowed three runs on four hits and four walks while striking out five over 5.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Angels on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera came up an out short of his third quality start, but this was far from a good performance. Walks continue to be an issue for the right-hander, who has issued at least four free passes in six of his 11 outings this season. He's now at a 5.02 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 66:35 K:BB through 52 innings. Cabrera is lined up for a favorable home start versus the Athletics next week.

Cabrera (3-4) allowed three runs on five hits and a walk while striking out six over six innings, but he took the loss Monday versus the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera's last start was cut short by a blister on his right middle finger, but he was able to work past it over the last few days to start on schedule. He pitched fairly well Monday, throwing 51 of 89 pitches for strikes, but it was a sixth-inning solo shot by Elias Diaz that sent Cabrera to his first loss in three starts. The right-hander has completed six frames just twice in his 10 outings this season, posting a 5.05 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 61:31 K:BB over 46.1 innings. That walk rate will continue to put a damper on his other numbers, but he's yet to have a truly disastrous start this year. He's lined up for a road start versus the Angels over the weekend.

Cabrera left Wednesday's win over the Nationals after only 79 pitches due to a blister developing on his right middle finger, Jordan McPherson of The Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander was putting together his best performance of the season, giving up two runs on five hits over five innings with six strikeouts to record his third win. It was the first time in his career Cabrera had lasted at least five innings without walking a batter, making the early exit that much tougher to swallow. He generated 18 swinging strikes, including nine against his changeup. "There were a lot of lefties in the lineup," Cabrera said after the game. "The plan was to attack them with the changeup inside, the curveball outside and the fastball up. That was the plan, and it worked today." Cabrera's next turn in the rotation is set to come early next week in Coors Field, so his fantasy GMs will likely be rooting for the blister to cause the Marlins to skip him, or at least delay his next outing until the team leaves Colorado.

Cabrera didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the Diamondbacks, giving up four runs on two hits and four walks over 3.1 innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander was cruising early, blanking Arizona over the first three innings, but Cabrera lost the strike zone in the fourth and walked four of the first five batters he faced before eventually getting the hook after 62 pitches (35 strikes). It's the third time in his last four starts he's issued at least four free passes, and his wavering control continues to hold him back. Despite an impressive 29.9 percent strikeout rate through 35.1 innings, Cabrera's 18.3 percent walk rate has led to a 5.35 ERA and 1.67 WHIP. He'll try to figure things out in his next start, likely to come at home next week against the Nationals.

Cabrera (2-3) took the loss Friday, giving up three runs on five hits and a walk over five innings as the Marlins were downed 4-1 by the Cubs. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander continues to rack up punchouts, as Cabrera generated 30 called or swinging strikes among his 95 pitches, but he got little support from the Miami offense. Friday's effort also represented only the second time in seven starts he hasn't walked multiple batters. Cabrera will carry a 4.78 ERA, 1.66 WHIP and 44:26 K:BB through 32 innings into his next outing, likely to come next week in Arizona.

Cabrera (2-2) earned the win Saturday, allowing two runs on three hits and five walks over five innings in a 7-6 win over the Cubs. He struck out 12.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera set a career-high in strikeouts Saturday, topping his previous best by three after punching out eight of the final 10 batters he faced. He was tagged for a two-run home run by Patrick Wisdom in the second frame, marking his fourth long ball given up in his last three appearances. Cabrera also couldn't shake his command issues, handing out five free passes Saturday to increase his BB/9 to 8.33 through 27.0 innings. Though he's tough to trust, it's hard to ignore Cabrera's 12.00 K/9, which makes him an intriguing matchup-based streaming option and daily fantasy pick.

Cabrera (1-2) took the loss Monday, allowing four runs on four hits and four walks over 4.1 innings during an 11-0 loss to Atlanta. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera posted two scoreless frames to start the game, but he allowed one run in the second, two in the fourth and was pulled in the fifth with a runner on first and one out. The right-hander currently holds a 4.91 ERA and a 1.77 WHIP with a questionable 24:20 K:BB through 22 innings.

Cabrera (1-1) picked up the win Tuesday, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks over six innings against San Francisco. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera was excellent after surrendering a two-run home run to Mike Yastrzemski in the first inning, blanking the Giants over his final five frames while allowing just three hits. The 25-year-old Cabrera has issued just three walks in his last two starts after walking 13 in his first two outings. He lowers his ERA to 4.08 with a 1.75 WHIP and 18:16 K:BB through 17.2 innings this season.
