Ibarra was sent back to Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday, the Los Angeles Times' Mike DiGiovanna reports.
With Hector Santiago available out of the bullpen for the next few days in advance of his start next week, the Angels can afford to cut down the bullpen by one man. C.J. Cron was recalled as a corresponding move.

Ibarra was outrighted off the Twins' 40-man roster Sunday, MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger reports.
Ibarra was also assigned to Double-A New Britain with the move. He had a decent year at Triple-A Rochester this season, posting a 3.44 ERA and 1.48 WHIP with the team, but didn't do enough to justify a September call-up and will open the door for another player who isn't currently on the 40-man roster.

Edgar Ibarra is expected to throw his first bullpen session Sunday.
Ibarra was diagnosed with Hepatitis B last month and has been taking it easy thus far in camp. The bullpen will mark the beginning of Ibarra ramping up his activities as he tries to catch up. The 24-year-old was lights out last season, posting a 1.93 ERA between Double-A and Triple-A, and he could still win a job in the Twins' bullpen with a strong spring.

Edgar Ibarra has been diagnosed with Hepatitis B and will take it easy early in Twins camp.
Ibarra is not contagious, so he'll remain Ft. Myers, Florida with his Twins teammates and try to get better with rest. The 24-year-old left-hander had a 1.93 ERA in 60 2/3 innings last summer in the minor leagues and was hoping to be considered for a big league bullpen job.
