Gamboa was moved to minor-league camp Sunday, Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gamboa pitched just one inning of Grapefruit League ball this spring. In said game he allowed two runs on one hit and three walks. The 33-year-old doesn't figure to carry much fantasy value this season and will likely open the year at Triple-A Norfolk.

Gamboa has been invited to attend the Orioles' spring training as a non-roster invitee.
EDGE Analysis
While Gamboa will attend major-league camp, it's unlikely that he'll open the upcoming season in the big club's bullpen. During the 2017 campaign he pitched at the Triple-A level for both the Dodgers and Rangers, posting an ERA of at least 5.40 with each organization.

Gamboa agreed to a minor-league contract with Baltimore on Friday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gamboa spent a majority of the 2017 season in Triple-A as a part of the Rangers' and Dodgers' organizations. The 33-year-old wasn't able to find much success within either system, as he wound up posting a 5.40 ERA over 31.2 innings with the Oklahoma City Dodgers after joining the club in August. He will likely serve as organizational depth for Baltimore in 2018.

Gamboa cleared waivers and elected free agency Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Gamboa refused an outright assignment to the minors after passing through waivers untouched. The 32-year-old, who compiled a 6.49 ERA and 46:39 K:BB in 77.2 innings (14 starts) with Triple-A Round Rock this season, will now look to catch on with another team looking for pitching depth.

Gamboa cleared waivers Thursday and will decide whether to elect free agency or accept an outright assignment, Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gamboa was DFA'd by the Rangers this past Thursday in order to clear space for Preston Claiborne on the 40-man roster. The right-hander hasn't pitched in the majors this season, and posted a 6.49 ERA with a 1.72 WHIP with Triple-A Round Rock during 14 starts. Gamboa, a 32-year-old veteran, could choose free agency and try to latch on with a team that needs bullpen depth in the coming days, or else he will likely continue pitching at Round Rock for the time being.

The Rangers designated Gamboa for assignment Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander was jettisoned so the Rangers could make room for Preston Claiborne on the 40-man roster. Gamboa, who was on an option at Triple-A Round Rock, had a brief stint of success with the Rays in 2016 but has done little to earn a major-league roster spot with Texas. The 32-year-old carried a 6.49 ERA in 14 starts for Round Rock but may catch on with another organization sometime this season if he's not retained in Texas' system.

Gamboa was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Gamboa was making a strong push for the 25-man roster before being optioned down, as the 32-year-old posted a 2.12 ERA with 16 strikeouts across 17.0 spring innings. He'll likely spend the year as organizational and relief depth.

Gamboa gave up five hits and one walk while striking out six over five innings against the Mariners on Sunday. He was charged with two unearned runs.
EDGE Analysis
Gamboa, primarily a knuckleballer, incorporated his cutter to great success, although it's important to keep in mind that he was facing a Seattle lineup that was without most of its regulars. Regardless, Gamboa has put himself very much into contention for a spot on the Opening Day roster with his recent performance. According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Gamboa could be used as a back-end starter or as a long man out of the bullpen. Mike Hauschild and Dillon Gee represent Gamboa's primary competition for a rotation spot with Andrew Cashner (shoulder), Tyson Ross (shoulder) and Chi Chi Gonzalez (elbow) all ailing.

Gamboa was traded to the Rangers for a player to be named later or cash considerations.
EDGE Analysis
Gamboa was DFA'd earlier Tuesday, and the Rays were able to trade him before he was exposed to waivers. The 32-year-old made his MLB debut last season, posting a 1.35 ERA across 13.1 innings, although these numbers are marred by a difficult 11:8 K:BB ratio. He'll likely serve as organizational bullpen depth for the Rangers in 2017.

Gamboa was designated for assignment Tuesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
In order to make room for the newly-signed Nathan Eovaldi (elbow), Gamboa was dropped from the 40-man roster, and the Rays will now have 10 days to trade him or expose him to waivers. The 32-year-old didn't make his MLB debut until last season and turned in a 1.35 ERA over 13.1 innings, but a 11:8 K:BB ratio suggested that ERA wasn't reflective of his true talents. It's likely he'll go unclaimed off waivers and will remain in the organization as relief depth at Triple-A.
