Lamet signed a one-year contract with the Rockies on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Lamet was claimed off waivers by the Rockies in August after he was traded to the Brewers and designated for assignment, and he was able to avoid arbitration with his new team. The 30-year-old allowed 13 earned runs over 12.1 innings with San Diego prior to the trade but pitched better for Colorado with a 4.05 ERA across 20 frames.

Lamet allowed one hit across two scoreless innings with four strikeouts to earn a hold Tuesday against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Lamet was claimed off waivers Aug. 5 and has stuck in the majors since, appearing in 19 games for the Rockies. He's pitched primarily in low-leverage situations, though he has racked up three holds and also worked multiple innings four times. All told, Lamet maintained a 4.05 ERA with a 29:10 K:BB across 20 innings during his time with Colorado.

Lamet was claimed off waivers by the Rockies on Friday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lamet was acquired by the Brewers in the trade that sent Josh Hader to San Diego on Monday, but he was designated for assignment just two days later after the Brewers added more relief depth. Lamet has had a poor 2022 campaign, struggling to a 9.49 ERA and a 14.5 percent walk rate in 13 relief appearances at the big-league level, but the Rockies have little reason not to take a flier on a pitcher who has flashed plenty of potential both as a starter and as a reliever.

The Brewers designated Lamet for assignment Wednesday, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
One of four players the Brewers received in return for closer Josh Hader in Monday's deal with the Padres, Lamet will be moved off the 40-man roster without having ever appeared for Milwaukee. According to Adam McCalvy of MLB.com, general manager David Stearns said that while the Brewers liked Lamet's live arm and strong prior track record of experience at the MLB level, finding a spot for him in the bullpen became too challenging in the wake of Tuesday's trade deadline. Lamet is under contract for $4.78 million in 2022, so the Brewers are hoping that salary may be enough to deter another team from claiming the right-hander off waivers, which would allow him to remain in the farm system at Triple-A Nashville.

The Brewers acquired Lamet, left-handers Taylor Rogers and Robert Gasser and outfielder Esteury Ruiz from the Padres on Monday in exchange for left-hander Josh Hader, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lamet may have been the headliner for the Brewers had this trade happened a couple years ago, when he was a front-of-the-rotation arm for the Padres, but after enduring a litany of elbow problems, he converted to a full-time relief role ahead of the 2022 campaign. The right-hander has been able to steer clear of the injured list so far this season, but he hadn't emerged as a trusted late-inning arm for the Friars, as he turned in a 9.49 ERA, 2.03 WHIP and 16:9 K:BB across 12.1 innings out of the bullpen. The Brewers will see if they can coax better results out of him in the final two months of the campaign before deciding whether to tender him a contract ahead of his final year of arbitration this winter.

Lamet was recalled from Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Lamet spent the bulk of the last two-plus months in the minors, but he was brought back to take the roster spot of MacKenzie Gore (elbow), who landed on the 15-day injured list in the corresponding move. San Diego's starting rotation is full at the moment, so expect Lamet to work in relief like he did when he was with the big club earlier in the year.

Lamet was optioned to Triple-A El Paso on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Lamet was called up by San Diego on Saturday, but he'll head back to the minors after he gave up three runs on four hits and two walks while striking out four in 2.1 innings against the Giants on Sunday. Right-hander Reiss Knehr was recalled Monday to take Lamet's place in the major-league bullpen.

Lamet was recalled by the Padres on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Lamet was demoted in mid-May after struggling to a 9.72 ERA across his first 10 relief outings of the year. Both his 23.8 percent strikeout rate and his 16.7 percent walk rate represent career worsts. He's been far better in nine outings for Triple-A El Paso, cruising to a 0.93 ERA and 34.9 percent strikeout rate, though his 11.6 percent walk rate remains elevated. Craig Stammen (shoulder) landed on the injured list in a corresponding move.

Lamet Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune to Triple-A El Paso on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Lamet allowed runs in only one of his first five appearances this season, but he'll head to the minors after giving up eight earned runs over three frames his past five outings. Robinson Cano was added to the major-league roster in a corresponding move.

Lamet allowed three runs on one hit and two walks over two-thirds of an inning in Saturday's loss to Miami.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander had trouble finding the plate in the outing, throwing only 11 of 24 pitches for strikes and walking two batters. He has given up at least one earned run in three of his past four appearances to push his season ERA to 8.59. Once a promising starter, Lamet's stock has cratered due to injury, and his first campaign as a full-time reliever has yet to pan out as the Padres had hoped.
