Fletcher is lined up to start at second base following Ian Kinsler's trade to the Red Sox on Monday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fletcher had already gained an everyday role at third base, but Monday's trade will allow to infielder to serve as the Halos' everyday second baseman. The 24-year-old has yet to develop the power he showed in the minors this year (.559 slugging percentage with Triple-A Salt Lake) in the majors, but he has been able to maintain a .298 batting average over 37 games. Fletcher has already logged 33 games at third base, and he should add second-base eligibility next season so long as he stays healthy for the remainder of the 2018 campaign.

Fletcher started and went 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Saturday's 11-5 win over Seattle.
EDGE Analysis
There was concern that the rookie would fall on the short side of a platoon at the hot corner with Luis Valbuena following Albert Pujols' return from the disabled list last week, but Fletcher has put the position battle to rest by making his 11th consecutive start. The 24-year-old isn't providing much pop this season (.394 slugging percentage), but he is batting .294 and should build on his 12 runs scored while batting leadoff against southpaws and ninth (effectively the "second leadoff hitter") against righties.

Fletcher went 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored in Wednesday's 11-3 win over the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Fletcher got a rare start at second base while Ian Kinsler received a day of rest. The rookie has started 11 consecutive games for the Halos, but a good chunk of those starts were due to Albert Pujols' stay on the disabled list. With the latter back in action, Fletcher will have to outplay Luis Valbuena at the hot corner in order to continue his recent run of playing time.

Fletcher went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI to help the Angels to a 14-5 romp over Houston on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
It was the second straight multi-hit game for the 24-year-old, who managed to play a part in four of the Angels' 14 runs on the day hitting out of the nine spot in the order. He's hitting .273 over his 88 at-bats this season, but he hasn't provided enough power between his one home run and .364 slugging percentage to have made much of a fantasy impact in his brief time at the big-league level so far.

Fletcher batted ninth and went 2-for-4 in Saturday's 7-0 loss to Houston.
EDGE Analysis
Fletcher got the start against a righty due to Albert Pujols' (knee) absence from the lineup, with Luis Valbuena sliding over to cover first base. Fletcher was situated on the short-side of a platoon at the hot corner prior to Pujols' placement on the disabled list, and he figures to resume that role once the veteran first baseman is activated, which could be as soon as Monday.

Fletcher didn't start Tuesday's contest, going 0-for-1 off the bench in a 9-3 win over the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Shohei Ohtani's return from the disabled list as a hitter has created a platoon at third between Luis Valbuena and Fletcher. The rookie has been relegated to pinch-hitting duties in three of of the Angels' last four contests, with his only start coming against a southpaw. Fletcher is slashing .276/.323/.345 in 62 plate appearances, but his fantasy value takes a huge hit on the short side of a platoon.

Fletcher will sit for the second straight game Saturday against the Dodgers, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic Los Angeles reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fletcher had been working into a fairly regular role, starting seven straight games heading into Friday's contest but will now sit in favor of Luis Valbuena for the second straight game. Fletcher has a .294/.345/.373 line in 19 games this season.

Fletcher is out of Friday's lineup against the Dodgers, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
He had started the last seven games, hitting .269/.321/.346 with zero home runs and zero stolen bases over that stretch. Luis Valbuena will start at third base, hitting seventh.

Fletcher led off and went 1-for-4 in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Fletcher has recently taken over as the Halos' primary option at the hot corner, starting six of the club's last seven contests. Designated hitter Shohei Ohtani's (elbow) return from the disabled list could complicate that situation, effectively pushing Albert Pujols back to first base and creating a possible platoon at third between Luis Valbuena and Fletcher. The rookie has performed adequately through his first 44 games (.317/.364/.390), so there is a chance that he has done enough to avoid falling on the short side of a platoon. The Angels are scheduled to take on three right-handed starters over their next four games, which will provide a clearer picture regarding Fletcher's role moving forward.

Sun 7/1/18 11:02 AM

Fletcher will start at third base and bat ninth Sunday against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Following his mid-June promotion, Fletcher looked to be in store for a short-side platoon role at third base with Luis Valbuena, but the rookie has since emerged as the primary option at the position. After going 8-for-27 (.296 average) through the first 12 games of his big-league career, Fletcher will earn his third consecutive start against a right-handed pitcher while Valbuena rides the pine. With Fletcher acquitting himself well in the first two games of the series with three hits and three RBI in seven at-bats and Valbuena finishing June with a .163 average, it appears the 24-year-old could have a decent amount of leash in a full-time role as the Angels look to replace Zack Cozart (shoulder), who has been ruled out for the season.
