With three injured outfielders, Ceciliani is the favorite to see regular playing time while the others are on the mend, Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ceciliani is the subject of interest for manager John Gibbons when it comes to filling the team's outfield gaps in the short-term. "We saw everything from him," said Gibbons, referring to Ceciliani's spring audition. "Good defender, good base-runner and he really swung the bat. He got a big hit for us on Sunday and he's looked good at the plate. He's a complete player who can do a lot of things to help you." The outfielder hasn't done much to impress fantasy owners yet, going just 3-for-23 (.130) in seven starts this season. However, anyone regularly penciled in the Jays' potent lineup inherently has some value.

Ceciliani will start in left field and bat ninth in the order Sunday against the Astros, Barry Davis of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Injuries haven decimated the Blue Jays' outfield ranks, forcing the team to cast their lot with Ceciliani, a 26-year-old with 80 career plate appearances, and Darwin Barney, a converted infielder, as their primary left fielders. It appears the Jays could deploy a platoon at the position, as Ceciliani will start his third game in a row with the Astros once again bringing a right-hander to the hill. Ceciliani has yet to produce in his limited at-bats at the MLB level and was batting .268/.331/.444 at Triple-A Buffalo prior to his recent call-up, so there's no need for fantasy owners to rush to add him to their rosters.

Ceciliani was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo on Monday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Toronto placed Kevin Pillar on the 15-day DL on Monday with a sprained left thumb, so Ceciliani will return from Buffalo to fill the vacancy on the 25-man roster. The 26-year-old will be thrown into the fire right away, as he's starting in left field and batting seventh Monday night against the Rays.

Ceciliani has been optioned to Triple-A Buffalo. Junior Lake will be heading to Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old Ceciliani had only accumulated three at-bats since being called up by the Blue Jays last Friday. He will head back to Triple-A where he was hitting .217 in 33 games for the Bisons.

Ceciliani will start at right field for the Blue Jays on Wednesday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Ezequiel Carrera out of the lineup, this will be Ceciliani's first major-league game of the season. His .225/.279/.292 slash line with Triple-A Buffalo this year isn't turning any heads, so the 26-year-old outfielder could have a rough time at the plate in the majors.

Ceciliani was recalled from Triple-A on Friday, Sportsnet's Barry Davis reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Jose Bautista (toe) getting placed on the 15-day DL, Ezequiel Carrera will serve as the everyday right fielder while Ceciliani will be the team's fourth outfielder. Ceciliani was hitting .225 with zero homers and seven steals at Triple-A, as he specializes in stellar outfield defense and offers little offensively.

Ceciliani returned to the starting lineup Thursday and went 1-for-4 with a run and two strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
Ceciliani seemed to be close to a return, but after pinch hitting in Wednesday's contest, he apparently felt good enough Thursday to slot back into the starting lineup. He'll likely see a good amount of playing time with the Triple-A club, although the major league outfield is pretty well set, so his ceiling is likely limited to minor league at-bats.

Ceciliani (shoulder) is progressing quickly and should be back in the lineup for Triple-A Buffalo soon, Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ceciliani, who nearly made the Blue Jays' Opening Day roster out of spring training, is playing in extended spring training games and is nearing a return to Triple-A Buffalo. The outfielder suffered an injury to his left shoulder and clavicle. Blue Jays director of player development Gil Kim said, "He's looking good and he should be ready to go pretty quickly." The big league club is in no immediate need of outfield help, so Ceciliani should remain in the minors for the foreseeable future.

The Blue Jays informed Ceciliani on Wednesday that he will begin the season in the minors, the Toronto Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ceciliani made an impressive push for a job this spring by going 15-for-36 (.417) with four home runs and 10 RBI, but because he could be optioned to the minors and Ezequiel Carrera could not, the Blue Jays decided that Carrera would open the season as the team's fourth outfielder. While Ceciliani's season figures to start with Triple-A Buffalo, his strong spring likely makes him the top option when the Blue Jays need to call up an outfielder from the minors.

Ceciliani was traded to the Blue Jays on Tuesday for cash considerations.
EDGE Analysis
Ceciliani had been designated for assignment by the Mets last week to clear space on the roster for Yoenis Cespedes, but he impressed with the organization's Triple-A club last year to the tune of a .345/.398/.581 slash line. The 25-year-old will likely get a chance to make the big league roster out of spring training, but he figures to only serve as an extra outfielder if he is in the majors.
