Palka is on the bench Wednesday against the left-handed CC Sabathia and the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Palka hasn't been entirely protected against lefties this season, though it's possible that he should be, as he's posted just a .675 OPS against them in 63 plate appearances. Nicky Delmonico will be the designated hitter in his place.

Palka went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk in Sunday's 7-2 win over the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Palka launched a two-run blast over the fence in right field to put the White Sox ahead 4-0 in the third inning. During the 26-year-old's first season in the big leagues, he's slashing .239/.282/.478 with 36 extra-base hits and 53 RBI through 95 games.

Palka is not in the lineup against Detroit on Thursday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Palka will take a seat in favor of Jose Rondon at the DH spot with left-hander Matt Boyd on the bump for the Tigers. Across 92 games this year, Palka is hitting .235 with a .745 OPS and 50 RBI.

Palka is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Palka started the last seven games for the White Sox but takes a seat with a .250/.280/.528 slash line with six home runs in 72 at-bats since the All-Star break. Matt Davidson will bat fourth and serve as designated hitter.

Palka went 3-for-5 with an RBI in Monday's 9-5 loss to the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
It's a rare night when Palka gets multiple hits and none of them are home runs; six of the slugging outfielder's last 12 hits have left the yard. He's appeared in 16 consecutive games, getting starts in left field and designated hitter. Palka's a one-dimensional fantasy asset, but a productive one (18 homers, 85 games). Owners should ride his power streak as long as possible, because at some point, the White Sox will call up Eloy Jimenez, which will limit Palka's opportunities.

Palka went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 1-0 win over the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
Palka produced the lone run of the game when he ended matters with a leadoff homer in the bottom of the ninth inning -- his first career walkoff blast. It was Palka's 18th of the season, second only to Jose Abreu (20) on the White Sox. In terms of home runs per at-bat, Palka's 14.9 is tops on the team and 14th in MLB. He's expected to continue to get at-bats for the rest of the season as the White Sox's primary DH.

Palka hit a pinch-hit, three-run homer in Thursday's win over the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Kansas City grabbed the lead in the top of the eighth inning, but Palka helped take it right back with his 16th long ball of the season. Palka has seen his playing time take a slight hit since Nicky Delmonico returned, but he hit eight homers and slugged .657 in July and should be in the lineup more often than not against right-handed pitching.

Palka went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs in Thursday's 12-8 loss to the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Palka has lost some at-bats since Nicky Delmonico returned from a hand injury last week, but was given a start in left field against Los Angeles right-hander Nick Tropeano while Delmonico slid to first base. This was the second multi-homer game of the season for the hulking Palka, who has left the yard 14 times in 69 games (248 plate appearances). He has a similar offensive profile as Matt Davidson -- a power hitter who strikes out a lot. With Delmonico and Avisail Garcia returning from injuries recently, there will be fewer opportunities for Palka going forward.
