Nava is out of the lineup Sunday against the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Nava started the first two games of the series against his former team, going a collective 2-for-7 with a run scored. He's still positioned to see the lion's share of the starts in left field, but Nava will cede those duties to Jefry Marte on Sunday.

With lefty Tyler Anderson taking the mound for Colorado, Nava will be replaced by Shane Robinson in left field. With only one at-bat this year against lefties, it's a routine day off for Nava.

Nava (groin) was activated off the disabled list Friday and he will bat sixth in the order against the A's, Pedro Moura of the LA Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Angels get some much-needed depth back in the outfield with Nava's activation Friday. He'll immediately join the lineup in the sixth spot and he's set to start in left field. Nava was slashing .222/.286/.311 prior to landing on the DL.

Nava (groin) has been moved up to Triple-A Salt Lake from High-A Inland Empire to continue his rehab assignment, Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nava will appear in Monday's lineup for Triple-A Salt Lake after playing just one game at High-A Inland Empire. In said game, Nava made three plate appearances, going 0-for-2 and drawing a walk. An MLB return date has yet to be set for the switch-hitting outfielder, who's been out since May 17.

Nava (groin) will begin a rehab assignment Sunday at High-A Inland Empire, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nava has been out since mid-May with the groin injury, but after partaking in baseball activities early this week, the Angels were comfortable with clearing him for a rehab assignment. He'll likely take back the everyday left field job upon his activation from the DL, as the Angels are currently getting by at the position with the less-than-stellar duo of Todd Cunningham and Shane Robinson.

Nava (groin) will be placed 15-day disabled list Tuesday, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nava left Monday's game with a groin injury, and although the injury isn't believed to be overly serious, he will require a stint on the disabled list. Fletcher is reporting that Nava hopes to miss the minimum amount of time before returning to the Angels. In his absence, Rafael Ortega will be recalled to add depth in the outfield.

Nava (groin) will likely be placed on the disabled list, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Following his early exit from Monday's game against the Dodgers, Nava is scheduled for an MRI on Tuesday. If he's confirmed to have suffered a groin strain, he'll likely be placed on the DL by the end of the day. Already thin in the outfield, the Angels may need to rely on Shane Robinson and a minor-league call-up in left field until Nava and/or Craig Gentry (back) return(s).

Nava went 2-for-4 with his first homer of the year, a walk and two runs against the Cardinals on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
As a part-timer in the Anaheim outfield, Nava doesn't get a lot of opportunities to get in the lineup, but he took advantage while batting fifth in this one. He's now equaled his homer total from 60 games last season.

Nava is out of the lineup Sunday against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Nava was activated from the disabled list Friday and started the first two games of the series, going 1-for-8 with two strikeouts. The outfielder will likely just be receiving the day off Sunday as a means of not getting overworked so soon after his return from DL, but look for him to serve as the Angels' primary left fielder until further notice. Ji-Man Choi will make the spot start Sunday in place of Nava.

Nava (knee) was activated from the DL and is back in the lineup Friday against the Rays, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
He will return to left field and the two-hole in the batting order to face right-hander Cory Rasmus after missing three weeks with left patella tendinitis. Rafael Ortega was optioned down to make room for Nava on the active roster. Nava figures to remain in a platoon role, ceding starts against lefties to Shane Robinson with Craig Gentry (back) on the DL.
