Murphy went 2-for-4 with a solo home run during Thursday's loss to Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
The second baseman is turning in another excellent season with a .320/.385/.542 slash line, and Murphy boasts a high-floor, high-ceiling combo because of his placement in the heart of a clicking lineup. His days of posting double-digit stolen bases are in the rearview manner, but with seven home runs, 31 RBI and 26 runs, his production in the other four stat columns is better than ever.

Murphy is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Pirates, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Murphy will take a seat after going 0-for-6 across both games of Sunday's doubleheader against the Phillies. Wilmer Difo will draw the start at second base in his stead. Murphy putting together another nice season, and he is sporting a healthy triple slash of .317/.385/.531 with 30 RBI across 36 games (145 at-bats).

Murphy went 0-for-6 with a walk across both games of Sunday's doubleheader against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
He's hitting just .182 (4-for-22) over his last seven games, but Murphy has still managed a .400 OBP during that stretch thanks to seven walks. His current 9.3 percent walk rate would be a career high for a full season, so even if Murphy's BABIP and batting average don't rebound to last season's levels he should continue providing RBI opportunities for the hitters behind him in the Nats lineup.

Murphy went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run prior to being ejected before the beginning of the 10th inning of Tuesday's extra-inning loss to the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
He took a called third strike in the ninth, and got tossed by home plate umpire Laz Diaz after jawing about it from the dugout. The homer was Murphy's sixth of the season to go along with a .333/.389/.561 slash line, 29 RBI and 22 runs in 32 games. He's showing no signs of regressing from his 2016 breakout, and with Bryce Harper and Ryan Zimmerman off to equally hot starts ahead of him in the Nats' batting order, Murphy should continue piling up the counting stats.

Murphy went 2-for-5 with a homer, three RBI and two runs against the Rockies on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The Nats have been enjoying themselves at Coors Field, but Murphy's been feasting in general, as evidenced by his .330 average, four homers and 22 RBI -- 12 of which he's accumulated in the last four games. Last season was no outlier; he's this good.

Murphy went 3-for-5 with a triple and five RBI in Tuesday's 15-12 win over the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
He continues to drive in run at a prolific rate, and Murphy is now slashing .325/.356/.542 with three homers and 19 RBI in 19 games. With Adam Eaton, Trea Turner and Bryce Harper all reaching base frequently ahead of him in the batting order, Murphy's RBI opportunities don't figure to dry up any time soon.

Murphy went 1-for-4 with a first-inning grand slam, his third home run of the season, in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
He continues to punish the Mets for not re-signing him after his massive 2015 playoff run -- Murphy is now slashing .386/.421/.727 with eight homers and 25 RBI in 22 games against his former club since the beginning of last year. The Nats begin a four-game series in Coors Field on Monday, so expect the slugging second baseman to continue raking in the thin air.

Murphy (leg) is in the lineup for Friday's game against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
The Nats suggested the leg tightness was a minor issue and it seems that was indeed the case, as Murphy is set to return against right-hander Matt Harvey. That said, team trainers told Murphy in the offseason that his upper-leg problem could recur at times this year, so it's something to keep in mind moving forward. Murphy hasn't seemed inhibited so far this season, going 21-for-61 (.344 average) with a pair of homers and 10 RBI through his first 14 games.

Murphy was scratched from Thursday's lineup due to tightness in his right leg, Dan Kolko of MASN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Murphy's removal from the lineup was precautionary, as it's believed that the injury is minor. At this point in time, Murphy is expected to return for Friday's series-opener against the Mets. However, if he has to sit out another game, Grant Green or Wilmer Difo will likely get the nod to start at second base.

Murphy was a late scratch from Thursday's lineup against the Braves, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Grant Green will take over at second in his stead while Wilmer Difo starts at shortstop. It's unclear why Murphy was scratched, though more should be known after the game.
