Murphy went 3-for-4 with two home runs and five RBI in Sunday's rout of the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
The homers were his first since June 28, giving him 16 on the year, but Murphy hasn't exactly been slacking at the plate -- he's got a .447/.488/.763 slash line in July with 16 RBI in 10 games. The 32-year-old should remain one of the top fantasy second baseman around in the second half.

Murphy is out of the lineup for Friday's series opener against Cincinnati, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Murphy hasn't missed many games for the Nationals this season, and while it is surprising that he would be on the bench coming out of the All-Star break, there hasn't been any word on a potential injury for the second baseman. Manager Dusty Baker did state that he would like to give some of the All-Star players a breather this weekend, which could be the reason for Murphy's absence. There will be more information to follow if there is any reason for concern, but in the meantime, Stephen Drew gets the start at the keystone in his place.

Murphy went 4-for-5 with a double, five RBI and a run against the Mets on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
After getting a rare day off Monday, he returned to the lineup and made some Fourth of July fireworks happen against his old club. Surprisingly, Murphy had gone 11 straight games without a multi-hit effort, but that was never likely to last long. If you thought last year's .347 batting average -- his career high by a solid margin -- was unsustainable, well, we've got news for you: He's hitting .341 this time around, and he's maintaining last year's power surge, too.

Murphy is out of the lineup Monday against the Mets, Dan Kolko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
With lefty Steven Matz taking the hill for the Mets, Murphy will take a seat in the series opener against his former team as Nationals manager Dusty Baker looks to stock his lineup with more right-handed bats. The switch-hitting Wilmer Difo will cover the keystone while Murphy hits the bench for the first time since June 21.

Murphy went 1-for-3 with a solo homer and a walk Friday against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Murphy blasted his 13th bomb of the year to start a rally that eventually erased a three-run deficit for the Nats in a home win. He's been an elite fantasy option the entire season, and he's posting an otherworldly slash line of .346/.400/.584.

Murphy is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Marlins, Dan Kolko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
With the Nationals playing a day game after a night game and the team off the schedule Thursday manager Dusty Baker will allow several of his top hitters to rest up in advance of a homestand that kicks off Friday. In addition to Murphy, first baseman Ryan Zimmerman and catcher Matt Wieters will also get the day off. Stephen Drew will fill in for Murphy at the keystone and bat sixth.

Murphy went 3-for-5 with a triple, two RBI and a run during Thursday's win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Murphy is turning in another high-end campaign with 11 home runs, 45 RBI, 42 runs and a .344/.390/.563 slash line. He's locked into the middle of a high-scoring lineup and is on pace to approach or better last season's career-best numbers.

Murphy is not in the lineup Thursday against the Orioles, Jorge Castillo of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Murphy was outstanding on the Nationals' west coast road trip, batting .436 over the past nine games. However, after a long trip from Los Angeles back to the nation's capital without a day off, the All-Star second baseman will get a night off. Wilmer Difo will man the keystone in his stead.

Murphy went 4-for-6 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI in Friday's 13-3 rout of the A's.
EDGE Analysis
The second baseman paced a 20-hit Nats attack in which every starter collected at least one hit, one run and one RBI. Murphy now has 10 hits and five RBI in his last four games, pushing his slash line on the season to .335/.388/.574, and he's on pace for his first career 30-homer season and second straight 100-RBI campaign.
