Hudson (3-2) took the loss Friday against the Padres, allowing three runs (two earned) on a hit and a walk in one inning of relief.
EDGE Analysis
Entering a 3-3 tie in the eighth inning, Hudson walked Manny Machado with one out and then got Eric Hosmer to ground weakly back to the mound for what should have been an inning-ending double play. Instead, the right-hander fired wide of second base to put runners on the corners and then served up a homer to Hunter Renfroe to put the game out of reach. Hudson now has a mediocre 4.18 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 21:13 K:BB through 23.2 innings with the Jays, but he'll likely continue to see some high-leverage work by default in a bullpen that lacks established and effective options.

Hudson gave up a run on two hits and struck out one across one inning Friday against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Hudson wasn't able to shut down the White Sox as the Blue Jays had hoped, but Toronto was able to put up three runs of their own in the bottom half of the inning. Hudson owns a 3.93 ERA with 17 punchouts over 18.1 frames in 2019 following his latest outing.

Hudson will be used as an opener Friday against the White Sox, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Scheduled starter Clay Buchholz was scratched with a lat strain earlier in the day, and the Blue Jays didn't have time to call up a proper starter. Hudson will pitch first for Toronto but hasn't gotten more than five outs in any of his appearances this season, so he's unlikely to last much longer than that Friday.

Hudson struck out one in two-thirds of an inning Monday to record his third hold of the season in a win over the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran right-hander is settling into a set-up role for the Jays, posting an 8:2 K:BB over 7.1 innings, although Hudson's 6.14 ERA is less appealing. Now on his fourth team in four years, his mid-90s fastball keeps earning him chances, but Hudson's too prone to homer-fueled meltdowns to be a reliable fantasy asset.

Hudson (forearm) will start Sunday's spring game against the Athletics, Maria Torres of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hudson will serve as the opener for the Angels in his second appearance of the spring after finishing the 2018 season on the injured list with right forearm tightness. The veteran right-hander is a non-roster invitee and is looking to secure spot in the Angels' bullpen.

Hudson (forearm) signed a minor-league deal with the Angels on Friday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The contract will pay Hudson $1.5 million if he makes the roster, with another $1.5 million available in incentives. The veteran has recorded a 3.99 ERA over the course of his nine-year career and posted a 4.11 ERA in 46 innings for the Dodgers last season. A forearm issue cost him most of the last two months of the season.

Hudson (forearm) was moved to the 60-day disabled list Monday, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hudson was placed on the 10-day disabled list Aug. 24 due to right forearm tightness, and it appears unlikely that he'll return before the season comes to an end. He logged 46 innings this season, posting a 4.11 ERA and 1.22 WHIP with a 44:18 K:BB. In a corresponding move, Tony Cingrani (shoulder) was activated from the shelf.

Hudson was placed on the 10-day disabled list with right forearm tightness ahead of Friday's game against the Padres, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hudson had just been reinstated from the disabled list Aug. 17, but he'll go back on the shelf for at least 10 more days. The severity of the injury is unclear, although more news on a timetable for his return should emerge in the near future. Hudson owns a 4.11 ERA with a 1.22 WHIP and 44 strikeouts across 46 innings this season.
