Descalso went 2-for-2 with a two-run home run, a walk and three RBI in Arizona's 7-3 victory over the Mets on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Descalso has been on a nice run of late, as he's now tallied six hits in his last 11 at-bats, with a homer, eight RBI and four runs scored over that time. He only has 168 at-bats on the season, but he's produced great numbers in those opportunities, as his slash line now sits at .280/.374/.542 to go along with eight long balls and 39 RBI.

Descalso went 1-for-3 with a walk, two RBI and a run scored Tuesday in the Diamondbacks' 13-8 win over the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
Descalso plated both of the runs on a fourth-inning base hit, bringing his RBI count up to a team-best 36 for the season. The veteran utility man has collected more than one third of that total in his last 10 games, with a red-hot Arizona offense providing plenty of opportunities for him to drive home baserunners.

Descalso went 2-for-5 with a triple, three RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 9-5 win over the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
Descalso helped break the game open in the bottom of the eighth inning with a two-run triple, then came around to score the Diamondbacks' final run of the night on Dovydas Neverauskas' wild pitch. The 31-year-old has been on a heater at the plate since late May, recording 12 hits -- including six extra-base knocks in 34 at-bats (.353 average) to go with 12 RBI and eight runs over his last 11 appearances.

Descalso is out of the lineup Sunday against the Rockies, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With a lefty (Kyle Freeland) on the mound for Colorado, Descalso will head to the bench for the first time in four games. Descalso is slashing .279/.397/.525 (148 wRC+) in 151 plate appearances against right-handers this season, so the Diamondbacks should continue to find ways to get the versatile infielder's bat in the lineup for those matchups.

Descalso went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI in the Diamondbacks' 9-4 win over the Rockies on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Descalso has now plated at least one run in six consecutive starts and has amassed four extra-base hits over that stretch. The Diamondbacks have kept Descalso on the bench in their last 10 games against southpaw starters, but the 31-year-old looks like he might be locked into a prime run-producing spot in the lineup versus right-handed pitching while his bat remains hot. He has batted cleanup for Arizona the past two contests.

Descalso went 1-for-4 with a double, walk and two RBI in the Diamondbacks' 5-4 loss to the Giants on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Batting out of the cleanup spot Wednesday, Descalso plated a pair of runs in his fourth straight start to lift his season RBI total to 30, good for second on the team behind A.J. Pollock (33). Despite his effectiveness as a run producer, Descalso hasn't solidified a full-time spot in the lineup yet, as the lefty-hitting infielder has been on the bench for three of the past five games with southpaws starting for the opposition. Descalso at least seems on track to receive regular work against right-handed pitching, which may be enough to make him a viable option in NL-only and deeper mixed leagues, as well as formats with daily lineup moves.

Descalso went 1-for-3 with a home run, a walk, two RBI and two runs scored Friday in the Diamondbacks' 9-1 win over the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Descalso, who was manning the leadoff spot for just the second time this season, hit the first of a franchise-record-tying six home runs on the night for Arizona when he took Elieser Hernandez deep in the second inning. With Arizona moving David Peralta down to the five hole of late, it appears Descalso and Jarrod Dyson could both receive opportunities to set the table for the Diamondbacks for the foreseeable future. That lineup placement would only enhance Descalso's fantasy value, which is arguably as high as its ever been throughout his career thanks to his surprising breakthrough in the power department.

Descalso went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's win over the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Descalso took starter Luis Castillo deep in the first inning for his sixth homer of the year. The 31-year-old has been productive in his playing time, hitting .254/.348/.500 with 10 doubles, 24 RBI and 18 runs while playing around the diamond. Descalso is not always a lock to start a game, but manager Torey Lovullo has done well to slot him into the lineup with relative consistency.

Descalso went 1-for-3 with a base hit and a walk in the Diamondbacks' 2-1 loss to the Athletics on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
For much of May, Descalso has been one of the more productive hitters in a slumping Arizona lineup, but he's fallen into his own offensive dry spell of late. The single Descalso recorded Sunday was his first hit since May 18, ending a 0-for-13 mark at the plate over his previous six appearances. Despite the recent downturn, Descalso still owns a career-high .806 OPS for the season, which should keep him locked into at least a semi-regular role with Arizona.

Descalso is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Descalso receives a rare off day as the Mets send left-hander Steven Matz to the mound on Saturday. Devin Marrero and Ketel Marte will man third and second base, respectively, for the Diamondbacks.
