Conor Jackson was scratched from Sunday's lineup due to neck tightness. It will give the A's an excuse to play Brandon Allen, which they should have been doing, anyway. Consider Jackson day-to-day.

Conor Jackson hit his first triple since 2008 and delivered a sac fly Thursday in the route of the Blue Jays. Jackson had six triples in 2008, but none in 611 at-bats since until his two-run three-bagger today. The addition of the sac fly later gave him his first three-RBI game of the season.

Conor Jackson (back) is not in the lineup for the second straight game Sunday. Jackson has some back soreness, but it's nothing to be concerned about. He has a good shot to play on Tuesday following the A's off day.

Conor Jackson was not in Saturday's lineup due to a sore back. A's manager Bob Melvin doesn't think Jackson will be out more than a day or two. He might sit out again Sunday before returning on Tuesday following the off day.

Conor Jackson (ribs, back) is not in Sunday's lineup. Jackson is still pretty sore after his collision with the Rangers' Elvis Andrus Saturday. He thinks he'll be available off the bench, though, and shouldn't have any trouble healing up over the All-Star break.

According to Joe Stiglich of the Bay Area News Group, Conor Jackson was "visibly in pain" in the A's clubhouse following his collision with Elvis Andrus in the ninth inning Saturday. Jackson was hurt on what should have been the final play of the game, but Jemile Weeks' throw sailed wide and caused him to collide with Andrus. He said after the game that his ribs and back were sore, though it's not clear if he might have to miss some action.

Conor Jackson went 3-for-4 with a double in Oakland's loss to the Phillies on Sunday. The A's could muster just eight total hits as Roy Halladay went the distance for Philadelphia, so Jackson's day was an impressive one. He had been just one for his past 12 coming into today, however. He hasn't exactly taken Oakland's first base job and ran with it since Daric Barton was sent to the minors.
