The Reds activated Joe (illness) from the 10-day injured list Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Joe was shelved for nearly two weeks while dealing with a bout of hand, foot and mouth disease. He's ready to go after a brief rehab assignment and should resume his role as a short-side platoon bat.

Joe (illness) started at first base and went 0-for-3 for Triple-A Louisville on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Joe played five innings for the Bats in what was the start of a rehab assignment. He can be activated at any time, but Joe would have a depth role if the Reds bring him back to the majors.

The Reds placed Joe on the 10-day injured list Wednesday due to hand, foot and mouth disease.
EDGE Analysis
The right-handed-hitting Joe had played fairly consistently against left-handed pitching since getting called up from Triple-A Louisville on May 10, so his bout with the illness helps explain why he was left out of the lineup against southpaw Carlos Rodon during Tuesday's 5-4 win. Joe's IL placement is retroactive to Sunday, but it's not clear if he'll be fully recovered from the ailment when he's first eligible to return July 2.

Joe will start in right field and bat seventh in Wednesday's game against the Guardians.
EDGE Analysis
Joe has settled into a short-side platoon role for the Reds since joining the team May 10 and will enter the lineup for the series finale while the Guardians send southpaw Logan Allen to the bump. Over his first 16 games with Cincinnati, Joe is slashing .278/.308/.361 with no home runs, one stolen base, three RBI and one run.

Joe started in left field and went 2-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 13-9 win over the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
In his Cincinnati debut, Joe got the start in left field over Austin Hays, who recently returned from the injured list and is being brought back on a slower pace. Joe was acquired him from the Padres on Friday and was added to the 26-man roster this weekend along with Will Benson (lefty), giving the Reds a potential platoon in right field in place of the injured Jake Fraley (calf).

The Reds recalled Joe from Triple-A Louisville on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
A day after joining the Reds organization via a trade with San Diego, Joe will now return to the majors to provide some depth to Cincinnati's outfield while Jake Fraley (calf) is on the injured list. Joe is still searching for his first big-league hit of the season after going 0-for-9 in seven games with the Padres.

The Padres traded Joe to the Reds on Friday in exchange for Andrew Moore and cash.
EDGE Analysis
San Diego sent Joe back to Triple-A Saturday after he went 0-for-9 with a walk in seven games with the Padres. He's performed better in the minors, however, logging a .755 OPS through 74 plate appearances at El Paso. He'll likely remain in the minors upon joining his new organization, though he could be recalled to Cincinnati if Jake Fraley's calf injury forces him onto the injured list. Tyler Callihan (forearm) was transferred to the 60-day IL in a corresponding move.

The Padres are optioning Joe to Triple-A El Paso, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Joe joined the big-league squad after being called up from El Paso on April 14, but he's played sporadically since then, logging just 10 plate appearances while serving mostly as a pinch hitter. The versatile veteran went 0-for-9 with one walk and six strikeouts while with San Diego. Per Acee, Luis Campusano is with the Padres in Pittsburgh, and it's likely he'll take Joe's spot on the roster.

The Padres recalled Joe from Triple-A El Paso on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Joe was unable to crack the Opening Day roster coming out of spring training, but he'll join the Padres less than a month into the season after Brandon Lockridge (hamstring) joined Jackson Merrill (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list Monday. Though he's primarily played at first base and in the corner outfield during his professional career, Joe has gotten some exposure to center field at Triple-A this season and could occupy the short side of a platoon at the position with the lefty-hitting Tyler Wade while Merrill and Lockridge are on the shelf.

Joe was optioned to Triple-A El-Paso on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Joe appeared to be the odd man out after it was announced earlier in the day that both Yuli Gurriel and Brandon Lockridge had made the Opening Day roster, and the team confirmed this by demoting Joe later in the day. He'll begin the 2025 season at Triple-A but could be seen in the big leagues later in the year.
