Figueroa has taken a job as a baseball development assistant in the Rays' front office, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The 28-year-old third baseman will presumably stay with Triple-A Indianapolis as long as Pirates' everyday guys, Jung Ho Kang and David Freese, remain healthy.
