Ege has signed a minor league contract with the Angels, Baseball America reports.
EDGE Analysis
He will remain in the organization after being designated for assignment and subsequently non-tendered in December. Ege allowed just one run in 13 appearances out of the big league bullpen last season, holding lefty batters to a .208/.208/.417 line (compared to .500/.548/.727 against right-handed batters). If the 25-year-old lands in a major league role again at some point in 2017, he will probably be used for only an out or two at a time.

Ege was non-tendered by the Angels on Friday, making him a free agent.
EDGE Analysis
Non-tendering Ege is a formality for the Angels, who designated him for assignment Thursday due to needing a 40-man spot. Ege will now look for a team seeking left-handed bullpen depth.

Ege was designated for assignment by the Angels on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
He was bumped from the 40-man roster in favor of Brooks Pounders, whom the Angels acquired via trade from Kansas City. Ege enjoyed a good deal of success with Anaheim last year, but his larger body of work in the minors was less than stellar (4.56 ERA, 1.50 WHIP). Still, Ege could interest a team looking for a lefty specialist.

Ege was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The lefty reliever was claimed off waivers by the Angels in August after the Marlins designated him for assignment. Since joining the Angels, he posted a 4.91 ERA and 11:2 K:BB in 7.1 innings with Salt Lake. He should work in low-leverage spots against left-handed hitters.

The Angels claimed Ege off Waivers Friday.
EDGE Analysis
After being picked up by the Angels, Ege was optioned to their Triple-A affiliate in Salt Lake. Before being acquired by Los Angeles, Ege had spent most of the season at Triple-A New Orleans, where he owned a 4.50 ERA and 1.57 WHIP.

Ege was designated for assignment on Tuesday, Andre Fernandez of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ege has failed to impress at Triple-A New Orleans, where he's posted a 4.50 ERA and 1.57 WHIP over 44 innings. Pitch control has also been a problem for Ege, as he owns an incredibly disappointing K/BB of 35/27.

Ege was optioned to Triple-A New Orleans on Monday, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ege was initially called up after Martin Prado was placed on the paternity list, but he managed to stick around a bit longer than expected. That being said, it comes as no surprise that he'll head back to New Orleans given that the left-hander gave up four runs on eight hits in a mere three innings pitched with the major league club. He'll likely continue to act as pitching depth for the parent club and could be called back up if Miami is in need of a lefty in the bullpen, although he'll have to vastly improve his performance against major league hitters if he wants to pitch very many innings with the Marlins going forward.
