Coco Crisp was removed early from Thursday's game due to a neck issue. Crisp has no issues batting left-handed, but he feels some pain while hitting from the right side. It sounds like a minor issue, though. He should be fine in a few days.

Coco Crisp went 2-for-3 with a double in Sunday's win over the Angels. Crisp was used in the leadoff spot and also scored a run. He should continue to see the majority of playing time in center field for Oakland this season, but will likely face pressure from Chris Young (quad) for his starting job.

The New York Post's Ken Davidoff reports that the Mets "have some interest" in Coco Crisp, "but the sense is that Athletics will keep him." The A's have four starting-capable outfielders, but general manager Billy Beane doesn't appear anxious to deal any of them, saying earlier this month that Crisp isn't going anywhere. The Mets are also reportedly interested in Grady Sizemore in their quest for outfield help.

Athletics general manager Billy Beane said Tuesday that Coco Crisp will not be traded. Beane has mentioned before that he didn't plan on moving Crisp, and he seems to mean it. Of course, things could change, given that the A's have Crisp, Josh Reddick, Yoenis Cespedes, Chris Young, Seth Smith and Collin Cowgill available for outfield duty.

Athletics GM Billy Beane said Saturday that he has not plans to trade any more outfielders. With Coco Crisp, Josh Reddick, Yoenis Cespedes, Seth Smith, Collin Cowgill and now Chris Young in the mix, it seems likely that someone will eventually have to go. Despite what he's telling the media right now, Beane is surely going to be listening to offers.

Coco Crisp started the ALDS with a bang, launching a leadoff homer off Justin Verlander on Saturday, but unfortunately it would be the only offense the A's could generate in the ballgame. Crisp finished the evening 1-for-4. His blast off Verlander came on just the fourth pitch of the game, while he was behind in the count 1-2. When healthy, he's been a spark plug at the top of the A's lineup this season, though he'll need help from elsewhere in the lineup if the A's are going to rally back to knock off the Tigers.

Coco Crisp went 2-for-4 with an RBI double, a steal and two runs scored Monday against the Rangers. Pink eye for everyone! Crisp has nine hits and seven runs scored in four games since returning from the affliction. The surge has raised his average from .251 to .262.

Coco Crisp went 3-for-5 with a double and solo home run in Friday's 8-2 win over the Mariners. Making his first start since an unfortunately timed case of pink eye first sidelined him on September 19, Crisp took Blake Beavan deep in the first inning. The home run was Crisp's 11th of the season. He last notched double-digit bombs in 2005 as a member of the Indians.

Coco Crisp (eye) is back in the Athletics' starting lineup Friday against the Mariners. Crisp appeared as a pinch-runner earlier this week, but he hasn't started a game since September 19 due to pink eye. He's in the leadoff spot Friday against right-hander Blake Beavan.

Coco Crisp (eye) hit in a cage on Thursday morning. Crisp is hoping to return to the A's starting lineup on Friday night against the Mariners. He has been serving merely as a pinch-runner since September 18 because of conjuncivitis -- known more commonly as pink eye.
