Taylor opted out of his contract with the Angels on Friday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor signed an NRI deal with the Halos in February, but after being informed he wouldn't make the big-league roster, he opted out of the deal. The veteran utility player will hit the open market once again, where he should generate some interest. Taylor went 9-for-39 (.231) with one home run and a 10:11 BB:K during spring training.

Taylor signed a contract with the Angels on Thursday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
No details of the deal are currently known, but presumably it's a short-term contract that gives Taylor a good chance of starting the campaign on the big-league roster. He ended the 2025 season with the Angels and hit .179 with two homers and 10 RBI across only 90 plate appearances with the club. Taylor will likely be in a reserve role, but he could get several starts per week due to his ability to play all three outfield spots as well as second and third base.

Taylor went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in a 12-2 win over the Twins on Tuesday
EDGE Analysis
The veteran utility man racked up a season-high four RBI in only his second multi-RBI effort of the year. Despite Tuesday's outburst, Taylor should remain well off the majority of fantasy radars as 2025 inches toward an end. On the campaign, he's slashing a woeful .198/277/.341 with two homers, 10 RBI, 15 runs scored and two stolen bases through 101 trips to the plate.

The Angels activated Taylor (hand) from the 10-day injured list Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor was shelved for a little more than a month with a fractured left hand but is ready to go following a brief rehab assignment. He's slashing just .189/.286/.378 through 15 games during his time with the Halos and is likely to be used mostly in a reserve role.

Taylor (hand) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Salt Lake on Wednesday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor has been given the green light to play in minor-league games just a month after landing on the injured list with a fractured left hand. However, there's currently no telling how many rehab games the 34-year-old will need to play in before he's ready to rejoin the Halos' active roster. He may also work in a diminished role once healthy after slashing just .189/.286/.378 through 15 games after joining the Angels in late May.

The Angels placed Taylor on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a left hand fracture.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor spent more than a month on the injured list with a fractured left hand before returning Monday, but a similar injury will put him right back on the IL five days later. Scott Kingery is up from Triple-A Salt Lake and will replace Taylor as the Angels' bench utility man.

The Angels activated Taylor (hand) from the 10-day injured list Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor has been shelved since early June after suffering a fractured left hand, but he's ready to roll after a brief rehab stint. The veteran utility player could see some action at second base while Christian Moore (thumb) is on the IL.

Taylor (hand) began a minor-league rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League on Thursday and has gone 4-for-6 with two walks and two RBI through two games.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor fractured his left hand when he was pit by a pitch in a game June 9 but is far enough in his recovery to be playing in games. Assuming he doesn't have any setbacks during his rehab stint, the utility man could be back with the Angels before the end of July.

Taylor (hand) recently had his brace removed and has begun participating in "light baseball activities," per MLB.com.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor suffered a fractured left hand when he was hit by a pitch during a game in early June. The utility man seems unlikely to be ready to return until after the All-Star break, though the Angels haven't specified a timeline for his activation. Taylor will likely serve in a part-time role when he's ready to play again.

The Angels placed Taylor on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a left hand fracture.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor suffered the injury when he was struck by a pitch in Monday's win over the Athletics. It's an injury that is likely to keep him out beyond the minimum 10 days.
