Stratton was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Thursday, Alex Pavlovic of CSN Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stratton posted a respectable 3.60 ERA across 10.0 innings of work with the Giants before being sent back down to Triple-A as the Giants needed to recall Grant Green to reinforce the infield depth. The Giants will work with a shortened bullpen for the time being.

Stratton tossed a scoreless inning in Wednesday's loss to the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
Stratton bounced back after allowing seven Athletics to reach base in his two innings of work Monday. Albert Suarez has done a nice job of filling in for the injured Matt Cain (hamstring), so Stratton will remain in a long relief role until Cain is back from the disabled list.

Stratton was recalled from Triple-A on Tuesday, CSN Bay Area's Amy Gutierrez reports.
EDGE Analysis
Matt Cain (hamstring) landed on the DL, so Stratton was needed to strengthen the Giants' bullpen, as Albert Suarez is likely headed back to the rotation for the time being. Stratton should handle low-leverage situations for now, although he should be able to miss more bats in the majors than he did in the minor leagues, where he worked almost entirely as a starter.

Stratton was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Stratton will head back to Triple-A to make room for Matt Cain on the Giants' roster, who was activated from the 15-day DL in a corresponding move. The 25-year-old gave up one earned run in three innings of relief for the Giants in his short stint with the club, and will now remain in Triple-A until his services are needed again.

Stratton tossed a scoreless inning in relief Monday during his MLB debut against the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
He struck out a pair, and topped out at 94 mph (according to Alex Pavlovic of CSN Bay Area), but it remains to be seen if the Giants will give Stratton the ball as their starter Wednesday against the Braves in place of the injured Matt Cain. Prior to his callup over the weekend, Stratton had a 6.02 ERA in nine appearances (all starts) at Triple-A Sacramento. One clue regarding the Giants' plans will be the status of Chris Heston at Sacramento, as he's scheduled to start against El Paso on Tuesday night. If Heston takes the ball as planned, Stratton may get the nod for the Giants on Wednesday by default.

Stratton was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Matt Cain officially hit the disabled list Saturday afternoon, so Stratton will come up from Triple-A to take his place on the roster. Stratton has never pitched in the big leagues, and he's been relatively unspectacular at Triple-A this season, amassing a 6.02 ERA across nine starts. Considering he hasn't pitched out of the bullpen since 2014, Stratton appears likely to fill Cain's spot in the rotation, though the Giants could still go in another direction.

Stratton was been recalled from Triple-A Sacramento Saturday. John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stratton, a 2012 draft pick, will be making his first stint in the Majors. The 25-year-old right-hander has posted a 6.02 ERA in Sacramento this season, but really impressed the team during spring training. Matt Cain strained his hamstring Friday, and a DL stint appears imminent, which has opened the door for Stratton.
