Athletics released RHP Chris Ray. Ray latched on with the A's earlier this month after he was given his release by the Indians, but he's on the move again after being knocked around for four runs on four hits and six walks over just six innings. The 30-year-old right-hander used the out-clause in his contract.

Athletics signed RHP Chris Ray. Rays was cut loose by the Indians last week after posting a 2.75 ERA and 30/17 K/BB ratio over 36 Triple-A innings. He's been assigned to Triple-A Sacramento.

Indians signed RHP Chris Ray to a minor league contract. He also gets a spring training invite. Ray, who turned 30 on Thursday, posted a 4.68 ERA and 22/12 K/BB ratio over 32 2/3 innings with the Mariners last season before being released in mid-August. He'll try to win a spot in the bullpen.

Mariners released RHP Chris Ray. He was cleared to make room for the newly-signed Danny Hultzen on the 40-man roster. Ray, 29, has a 4.68 ERA and 22/12 K/BB ratio over 32 2/3 innings this season. He was recently placed on the disabled list with an injury to his right latisimus dorsi muscle.

Mariners placed RHP Chris Ray on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to July 30, with a strained right shoulder latisimus dorsi. The severity of the injury is not yet known, Ray, 29, has a 4.68 ERA and 22/12 K/BB ratio over 32 2/3 innings this season. He has a 2.39 ERA over his last 22 appearances dating back to May 1.
