McMahon has allowed four earned runs across his last 11 innings while maintaining a 9:1 K:BB with High-A Spokane.
EDGE Analysis
McMahon missed the majority of the 2022 season with a lat strain but returned to make rehab outings in late July. He appears to be back to near full strength since, as he's worked five and six innings in each of his last two starts, respectively. McMahon figures to have a chance to crack the Rockies' rotation in a few seasons, so long as he can consistently remain on the mound.

McMahon went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs and a walk in a 13-10 victory over the Diamondbacks on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
McMahon joined in on the Rockies hit parade by belting two home runs out of the leadoff spot and picking up his first multi-homer game of the season. The performance gives McMahon 15 home runs on the year to go along with a slash line of .246/.331/.404.

McMahon (lat) has struck out five while allowing two earned runs on five hits and two walks in two appearances for the Rockies' rookie-level Arizona Complex League affiliate since making his season debut July 23.
EDGE Analysis
Though he finished the 2021 campaign at High-A Spokane, McMahon didn't open the 2022 season with an affiliate while he recovered from a right lat strain. After completing his throwing program shortly before the All-Star break, McMahon was cleared for game action in the ACL. He'll likely continue to steadily build up his pitch count in his subsequent outings in rookie ball before potentially reporting to Single-A Fresno or Spokane.

McMahon is out with a lat strain, Jonathan Mayo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
He suffered the injury late this spring, so he may not return anytime soon. From a pure stuff standpoint, McMahon is arguably the Rockies' best pitching prospect, but it's tough to get too excited about any pitching prospect who will have to pitch half his games in Coors Field.
