Pirates optioned RHP Chris Leroux to Triple-A Indianapolis. Leroux pitched well after being recalled on July 3, allowing seven hits and zero runs in 5 2/3 innings of work while striking out seven and walking none. He should be back at some point later this summer.

Pirates recalled RHP Chris Leroux from Triple-A Indianapolis. Leroux will serve as an additional bullpen arm after Saturday's doubleheader. He's posted a 2.94 ERA in 29 games between Double- and Triple-A this season.
