Carter is out of the lineup Sunday against the Indians, Jose de Jesus Ortiz of the Houston Chronicle reports. Carter has appeased fantasy owners with eight home runs and 21 RBI in August, but his issues will contact appear to have reared their head again. The slugger has amassed 13 strikeouts over his last five starts, yet again enhancing his reputation as a streaky hitter. He'll give way to Dexter Fowler at DH on Sunday, but his game-changing power will continue to afford him an everyday role with the Astros.

Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports that the Astros are looking to trade Chris Carter. Carter has 21 home runs in 93 games this season but is also sporting a weak .212 batting average and .291 on-base percentage. The 27-year-old will be arbitration-eligible for the first time heading into 2015 and is under contractual control through 2018, so Houston will want something fairly significant in return.

Chris Carter was scratched from Wednesday's lineup due to a stomach bug. Carter has been throwing up and is not feeling well enough to play. It's poor timing, as he's red-hot with eight homers over his last 19 games. He should be fine in a day or two, though.
