Chase Utley was 3-for-5 with a home run and four RBI in a win over the Pirates on Friday night. Utley had an RBI triple in a three-run first and a three-run blast in a five-run fifth. He finished the night a double short of the cycle. He's now batting .313 (16-for-51) with four homers and 15 RBI since the All-Star break. Just for comparison's sake, he had four homers and 18 RBI over 157 at-bats during the first half of the season.

Chase Utley went 3-for-3 with two homers, four RBI and a walk in a win over the Padres on Saturday. Utley slugged a three-run homer in the bottom of the first inning and added a solo shot in a five-run seventh. It was his first multi-homer game of the season and the 19th of his career. Utley has delivered three straight multi-hit games, raising his batting average from .263 to .286 on the year.

Chase Utley clubbed a go-ahead two-run homer in Saturday's win over the Blue Jays. The seventh inning blast was Utley's fourth home run of the season and his first since June 14. It helped make up for a defensive miscue in the bottom of the fifth, which set the stage for the Jays to score two runs. Utley has now hit safely in each of his last six games.

Chase Utley is out of the Phillies' starting lineup for Thursday's matinee against the Marlins. Utley played both games of Wednesday's doubleheader, so he'll get a well-deserved day off. Michael Martinez will make the start at second base Thursday and bat eighth against right-hander Javier Vazquez.
