De Jong was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma on Wednesday, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The shuttling continues for De Jong, as he returns to the big leagues after being sent to the minors just three days prior to this move. He'll likely be a candidate to pick up a spot start after Felix Hernandez (shoulder) was placed on the disabled list.

De Jong was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
De Jong was stellar in relief Saturday against the Athletics, tossing four scoreless innings and striking out two batters while conceding two walks and one hit. Rather than for performance-related reasons, De Jong will be sent back to the minors just so that the Mariners can have a fresh arm in the bullpen for the next several days. Chris Heston was recalled from Tacoma in a corresponding move.

De Jong stymied the Athletics over four scoreless innings in Saturday's 4-3 loss, giving up just a hit and two walks. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
Called up from Triple-A Tacoma on Friday, De Jong was outstanding over 51 pitches, with some relatively spotty control as the only blemish on his performance. The 23-year-old had generated an excellent 1.74 ERA in two starts with the Rainiers in the early going, and put on a similarly dominant display in his first outing back with the Mariners since giving up a game-winning three-run home run to George Springer on April 5. The right-hander can clearly serve as a long-relief option for manager Scott Servais out of the bullpen, and potentially, even as a spot starter in a pinch.

De Jong was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma on Friday, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 23-year-old has been stellar in his quick stint with the Rainiers, and with Dan Altavilla struggling in Seattle's bullpen, De Jong will head back to the big leagues to provide bullpen depth. His first cup of coffee this season went poorly, but he'll look to carry the 1.74 ERA he posted in two minor-league starts into the majors with him.

De Jong was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
With Dillon Overton being activated from the paternity list, De Jong's services were no longer needed in the majors. His major-league debut was brief and disappointing, as he pitched just 0.2 innings and gave up the game-winning home run in Wednesday's loss to the Astros.

De Jong (0-1) gave up a game-winning three-run homer to George Springer in Wednesday's 5-3 extra-inning loss to the Astros. He surrendered two hits and one walk overall in two-thirds of an inning.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie, making what could be his only appearance with the big-league club for the time being now that Dillon Overton is set to return Thursday, walked Evan Gattis and allowed a two-out single to former Mariner Norichika Aoki before giving up Springer's 353-foot blast to left center to end the game. De Jong is scheduled to head to Triple-A Tacoma to be a part of the Rainiers' starting rotation, possibly as early as Thursday.

De Jong was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma on Monday, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
De Jong never actually reported to Tacoma to begin the season, as the Mariners always planned on having him available with the big club for the first week of the season while Dillon Overton went on paternity leave. Once Overton rejoins the club within a few days, De Jong figures to then head out to Tacoma, where he'll likely be included in the starting rotation.

Updating a previous report, De Jong has officially joined the Mariners in Houston and will be available while Dillon Overton remains away on paternity leave, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 23-year-old right-hander, who is projected to be a part of Triple-A Tacoma's starting rotation in 2017, is expected to be added to the roster Monday if the club puts Overton on official paternity leave as expected. De Jong would serve as a temporary long relief option during the season's opening series and due to the fact he's already on the 40-man roster, he is able to slot in as Overton's replacement without the need for a corresponding move.

De Jong will be recalled from Triple-A Tacome this week, Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
De Jong doesn't figure to be with the big club for much time, as Seattle will be bringing him up temporarily once Dillon Overton goes on paternity leave. De Jong spent the spring season with the Dodgers and Mariners organizations and threw for a combined 3.46 ERA and 1.23 WHIP over 13 innings.

Sat 3/18/17 12:50 AM

De Jong was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on Friday, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
De Jong was coming off a Thursday victory over the Royals in which he'd given up two runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk over four innings while notching his first spring win. He could be a candidate for a return later in the season with a solid minor league campaign, but the Mariners are likely to give him plenty of seasoning at the Triple-A level. De Jong was an impressive 15-5 over 26 starts with the Dodgers organization in 2016, but only one of those outings came with Triple-A Oklahoma City, with the other 25 taking place at Double-A Tulsa.
