McCormick went 1-for-1 with a two-run home run in a 12-1 victory over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
McCormick entered as a defensive replacement for Kyle Tucker in the sixth inning and launched a two-run homer in his only at-bat in the eighth. The long ball was the 26-year-old's first since Aug. 6 and he now owns a .250/.309/.447 slash line in 94 games.

McCormick is out of the lineup Thursday versus the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old had started three of the last four games with Michael Brantley (knee) out of the lineup. He drove in two runs Wednesday, his first game with an RBI since returning from the 10-day injured list on Sept. 3. Jake Meyers shifts over to left field as Jose Siri will bat seventh and start in center field.

McCormick started in left field and went 1-for-4 with two RBI in Wednesday's 7-2 win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
McCormick delivered a two-run single with the bases loaded in the fourth inning, snapping a 10-game RBI drought. He's started both games the team has been without Michael Brantley (knee), who was added to the injured list Wednesday. With Brantley unavailable, both McCormick and Jake Meyers could be lineup regulars for the near future. Both started Wednesday and combined to go 3-for-8 with a home run and four RBI. Jose Siri is also in the mix for at-bats.

McCormick started in left field and went 0-for-3 in Tuesday's 8-1 loss to the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
McCormick got the start in place of primary left fielder Michael Brantley, who is out until at least Friday due to a balky knee. Brantley's absence will lead to a playing time shuffle among McCormick, Jake Meyers and Jose Siri (who started in center field Tuesday). McCormick has just two hits over the 20 at-bats since returning from a hand injury.

McCormick entered Saturday's game after Yordan Alvarez fouled a ball off his knee. He finished up Alvarez's at-bat and went 0-for-1 the rest of the way in Saturday's 10-2 loss to the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
The Astros are hopeful the injury is not serious -- X-rays came back negative -- so it doesn't look like they'll need a fill-in for a significant amount of games. McCormick or Jake Meyers stand ready should Alvarez's knee contusion needs multiple days.

McCormick will sit Saturday in San Diego, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
McCormick and Jake Myers are expected to split time in center field down the stretch, though it will be Kyle Tucker who starts there on this occasion. Michael Brantley slides to Tucker's usual spot in right field, with Yordan Alvarez moving out to left field due to the lack of a designated hitter under National League rules.

McCormick and Jake Meyers will share playing time in center field throughout the month of September, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
McCormick, who was reinstated off the injured list Friday, went 0-for-3 as the starter in a win over the Padres in San Diego. Both McCormick and Meyers bat from the right side, so matchups are determined by other factors, per Houston manager Dusty Baker. "If we need more of a defensive presence in the outfield, if we need an offensive presence or a combination of the two and the matchup - who I can think can hit a high fastball or who is a better breaking ball hitter. A lot is going to go into the decision," Baker said. It sounds like fantasy managers will need to diligently follow the center field situation. Neither player will be starting Saturday, as Baker wants to get Yordan Alvarez's bat in the lineup in left field while playing in an NL city. The domino effect of that will have Michael Brantley shift to right field with Kyle Tucker in center.

McCormick (hand) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list and is starting Friday's game against the Padres, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
McCormick recently appeared in two rehab games at Triple-A Sugar Land and went 4-for-8 with a double, three runs and an RBI. He'll play center field and bat seventh in his return to the lineup Friday but may have to split playing time with Jake Meyers, who has been productive recently.
