McCormick (hand) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list and is starting Friday's game against the Padres, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

McCormick recently appeared in two rehab games at Triple-A Sugar Land and went 4-for-8 with a double, three runs and an RBI. He'll play center field and bat seventh in his return to the lineup Friday but may have to split playing time with Jake Meyers, who has been productive recently.
