Patrick (3-8) took the loss in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Cubs, coughing up five runs (three earned) on five hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Making his first big-league appearance since July 5, the right-hander saw two runs cross the plate in the first inning after an Andrew Vaughn throwing error, but a three-run homer by Willi Castro in the third was all on the Patrick's shoulders. Patrick has served up seven long balls in his last 42 innings with the Brewers dating back to May 31, contributing to a 4.50 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 48:14 K:BB over that span. He'll likely head back to Triple-A after the twin bill, but Milwaukee is beginning a stretch of 15 games in 14 days -- the team's next scheduled day off doesn't arrive until Sept. 2 -- so it's possible Patrick is kept around as part of a six-man rotation to help get through that grind.

Patrick will no longer start Monday after Game 2 of the Brewers' doubleheader against the Cubs was postponed due to inclement weather, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Patrick was set to appear in his first major-league contest since July 5, but he'll now have to wait another day. The contest will be made up in a split doubleheader Tuesday. Patrick will toe the rubber in Game 1 on Tuesday, while Brandon Woodruff will handle the nightcap, per Jack Stern of BrewerFanatic.com.

The Brewers recalled Patrick from Triple-A Nashville on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Patrick is the Brewers' designated 27th man for Monday's doubleheader against the Cubs and will start the second game of the twin bill at Wrigley Field. The rookie right-hander was squeezed out of the Brewers rotation last month but has pitched well for the big club, posting a 3.52 ERA and 95:30 K:BB over 94.2 frames covering 18 starts and one relief outing.

The Brewers optioned Patrick to Triple-A Nashville on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander took a no-decision in Saturday's 4-2 loss to Miami after giving up two runs over five innings, and he'll be the odd man out of Milwaukee's rotation with Brandon Woodruff (elbow/ankle/shoulder) returning from the 60-day injured list to start Sunday's series finale. Patrick has been a quality rotation piece for the Brewers in his first 19 big-league outings this season with a 3.52 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 95:30 K:BB across 94.2 innings, but Milwaukee doesn't need six starters while heading into the final week before the All-Star break. Patrick is likely to receive another look in the Brewers rotation at some point during the second half, but for now, he'll head to Nashville for the first time in 2025.

Patrick did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 4-3 extra-innings loss to the Rockies. He allowed four hits and two walks over five scoreless innings with eight strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
The Colorado lineup was unable to square up Patrick, as he conceded just one extra-base hit -- a double to Mickey Moniak. With this performance, the Milwaukee right-hander notched his third outing with eight or more Ks this season, producing 15 whiffs among his 99 total pitches. After pitching to an unimpressive 6.00 ERA in 21 innings across his previous four June starts, Patrick capped the month by lowering his season ERA from 3.72 to 3.51 in 89.2 total frames. The 26-year-old rookie is scheduled to face another weak opponent, the Marlins, in his next start on the road next weekend.

Patrick did not factor into the decision in Monday's 5-4 loss to Pittsburgh, allowing four runs on nine hits and one walk over five innings. He struck out nine.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie right-hander had a game of contrasts in this 99-pitch performance. Although Patrick collected a career-best nine punchouts, he also conceded a season-worst nine hits as he coughed up four or more earned runs for the third consecutive start. The 26-year-old will carry a 3.72 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 85:27 K:BB across 84.2 innings into his next start, which is currently slated to be a juicy matchup against the Rockies at home this weekend.

Patrick (3-7) was saddled with the loss Tuesday against the Cubs, giving up four runs on six hits and two walks in five innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
While Patrick was able to toss at least five frames in his fourth start in a row, he's now allowed nine runs over his past two outings. The right-hander has watched his ERA climb from 2.84 on June 6 to 3.50 following this showing, but Patrick did fan at least five Tuesday in his sixth straight appearance. The rookie righty still has a steady 1.28 WHIP and 76:26 K:BB over 79.2 innings in 2025, and he'll aim to get back on track this weekend against the Twins.

Patrick (3-6) took the loss against Atlanta on Wednesday, allowing five runs on seven hits and three walks with eight strikeouts over five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Patrick surrendered four of his five runs via the long ball in his first start this season allowing multiple homers. It was a mixed outing for the rookie, who set a career high with eight strikeouts but also saw his streak of 14 consecutive appearances with three or fewer earned runs come to an end. He'll carry a 3.25 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 71:24 K:BB across 74.2 innings into a road matchup with the Cubs next week.

Patrick (3-5) took the loss Friday against the Padres after giving up one run on four hits and three walks in six innings. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
It was a strong performance from Patrick, who registered 11 whiffs and fanned at least six in his fourth consecutive start. Friday also represented the rookie right-hander's fifth quality start for the campaign. Brandon Woodruff (elbow) has been pulled off his rehab assignment, which appears to have bought Patrick even more more time to cement his stay in Milwaukee's rotation. Patrick will take an excellent 2.84 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 63:21 K:BB over 69.2 innings into his next scheduled appearance versus Atlanta, currently projected for next week.

Patrick (3-4) earned the win against the Phillies on Saturday, allowing two runs on five hits and no walks with six strikeouts over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
The Brewers' offense exploded and Patrick capitalized, generating 10 whiffs on 94 pitches en route to his first win since May 6. While the 26-year-old has completed six frames just four times, he has now yielded three earned runs or fewer in all 12 of his starts this season. He'll take an impressive 2.97 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 57:18 K:BB across 63.2 innings into a home matchup with the Padres next weekend.
