St. Louis Cardinals catcher Carson Kelly (hamstring) could return to the team as soon as he is eligible this weekend. Kelly was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a hamstring injury last week, but it seems like it was not a major issue, as he's expected to return as soon as the 10 days are up. Steve Baron was called up from Triple-A to take Kelly's place on the roster, but he'll be the one sent down once Kelly is ready.

St. Louis Cardinals catcher Carson Kelly will be in the starting lineup against the Minnesota Twins on Monday. Kelly was recalled on Sunday after Yadier Molina (groin) landed on the disabled list. Molina is expected to miss about a month of playing time, so Kelly will get plenty of chances to start. Kelly is worth an add in deeper leagues and for owners who are in desperate need of a starting catcher.

Carson Kelly was called up to the major leagues Saturday night after Yadier Molina caught a foul ball to the groin. Molina's injury required an emergency surgery, and he's expected to miss at least a month. This gives Kelly a chance to get regular work in the majors. Kelly may split a few of these starts, and he hasn't proven enough to produce on a consistent basis on a fantasy roster. Kelly could make for a good backup catcher in two-catcher formats, but that's about it for now.

Yadier Molina is sticking around for another few years, but the job is Kelly's once "Yadi" retires.
