Blair signed a minor league contract with the White Sox on Tuesday, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old appeared in the majors for the A's in 2015, however, he struggled in his 11 games there, slashing .129/.229/.226 in 31 at-bats. He spent 2016 in the minors, where he bounced between Oakland and Texas, slashing a combined .250/.339/.372 over 156 at-bats. The righty will likely start in Triple-A and provide depth behind the plate for the White Sox.

Blair was outrighted to Triple-A Nashville Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Blair slashed a .129/.229/.226 mark in 31 at-bats with the A's to begin the season before undergoing surgery on his left knee. He's still a candidate to join the spring training roster in 2016, but the 26-year-old will have an upward climb if he wants to regain control of the backup catcher job.

Blair has undergone arthroscopic surgery on his left knee, but is expected to be ready for spring training, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Blair saw action in 11 games for the Athletics this season, but it appears a knee injury has kept him sidelined recently. He will now begin the rehab process in an attempt to crack the big league roster out of spring training in 2016.

Blair went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in a 10-6 loss to Houston on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
It's Blair's seventh game in the majors and it's been a struggle for the rookie. Blair has yet to record a multi-hit game and he has struck out 13 times in just 2- at-bats. With Josh Phegley currently nicked up, Blair may see regular starts for the last couple weeks of the season.

Blair hit a solo home run in a loss to the Rangers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
With Stephen Vogt still missing action from a groin injury and Josh Phegley getting the afternoon off, Blair stepped in and hit his first major-league home run, driving a ball off Rangers' reliever Andrew Faulkner into the seats in the seventh inning. Blair certainly has some pop to his bat --- however that pop will mainly be relegated to spot-starts and pinch-hit duties once Stephen Vogt returns to the lineup.
