Rodon (elbow) is in the second week of his throwing program, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Working his way back from surgery in mid-October to remove loose bodies and shave down a bone spur in his left elbow, Rodon most recently made 30 throws from 60-75 feet. The southpaw anticipates making some Grapefruit League starts, but he will begin the season on the injured list and isn't expected to make his regular-season debut for the Yankees until late April or early May.

The Yankees expect Rodon (elbow) to be ready for his season debut in late April or early May, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rodon underwent surgery in mid-October to remove loose bodies and shave down a bone spur in his left elbow. The left-hander is expected to be cleared to begin a throwing program later this month, but he will need time to get built up and will begin the 2026 campaign on the 15-day injured list.

Rodon underwent surgery Wednesday to remove loose bodies and shave down a bone spur in his left elbow, Jorge Castillo of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rodon will not be allowed to throw for eight weeks and the operation "probably delays him" to begin the 2026 season, Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Thursday. It sounds like the left-hander should be ready to make his season debut sometime in April, but a firmer timetable for Rodon's return will not be known for a while. The southpaw won a career-high 18 games during the 2025 regular season, finishing with a 3.09 ERA and 203:73 K:BB over 195.1 innings.

Rodon did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's win over the Blue Jays in Game 3 of the American League Division Series. He allowed six runs on six hits and two walks while striking out two over 2.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Vladimir Guerrero tagged Rodon for two-run homer in the first inning and Toronto tacked on four additional runs in the third. Indeed it looked like the end of the line for Rodon and the Yankees, but New York rallied to take the lefty off the hook and keep its season alive. Rodon turned in a quality start in his wild-card outing against Boston, but he now has a 9.72 ERA this postseason following Tuesday's performance.

Rodon didn't factor into the decision during Wednesday's 4-3 victory over the Red Sox, giving up three earned runs on four hits and three walks while striking out six batters over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Rodon squandered an early 2-0 lead by giving up a two-run single to Trevor Story in the third inning. The Yankees' offense then gave the southpaw a 3-2 lead to work with entering the sixth, which was once again spoiled by Story -- this time via a 381-foot solo shot to left field. Rodon needed 91 pitches to make it through six frames Wednesday, so he likely won't be available to pitch again until Game 3 of the ALDS on Tuesday if the Pinstripes advance past Boston.

Rodon (18-9) earned the win Thursday against the White Sox, allowing three runs on four hits and a walk while striking out five over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
In his career-high 33rd start of the season, the left-hander gave up a two-run homer to Michael Taylor in the fourth inning, but retired seven of the final eight batters he faced to mark his sixth straight quality start. During that stretch Rodon has pitched to a 2.43 ERA and 31:8 K:BB across 37 innings. With Thursday's outing, Rodon also eclipsed the 200-strikeout mark for the first time since 2022, his sole season in San Francisco. The 32-year-old finishes the regular season tied for second in MLB with 18 wins, solidifying a strong year three in pinstripes.

The veteran southpaw has now tallied five straight quality starts and yielded two earned runs or fewer in nine consecutive contests dating back to Aug. 6. He owns a 3.04 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 198:72 K:BB across 189.1 innings this season and will wrap up the regular season in a home rematch with the Orioles next weekend.

Rodon (16-9) took the loss Monday, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk over six innings against Minnesota. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Rodon delivered a quality start but was saddled with his ninth loss as New York's offense failed to score in Monday's defeat. The southpaw has been excellent of late, holding opponents to two runs or fewer in each of his past eight outings. During this stretch he's traded strikeout volume for run prevention, posting a 6.5 K/9 compared to his 9.4 mark on the season.

Rodon (16-8) took the loss against Detroit on Wednesday, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out six batters over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Rodon pitched well in the outing, but New York's bullpen was again demolished late in the contest, and the team's offense put only one run on the board. The loss snapped a streak of five straight wins for Rodon, though he did manage to nab his fifth quality start over his past six appearances and posted his highest punchout total since he struck out nine Marlins on Aug. 1. Rodon has been effectively consistent for the Yankees this year, registering a 3.11 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 186:70 K:BB across 176.1 innings spanning 30 starts.

Rodon (16-7) allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks while striking out three over six innings to earn the win over the Astros on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Rodon was stingy with baserunners but still had to empty the tank with 109 pitches (69 strikes). This was his fifth straight win and his fourth quality start in that span, during which he has allowed a total of eight runs (seven earned) across 30.2 innings. The southpaw is now at a 3.12 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 180:69 K:BB over 170.1 innings through 29 starts this season. Rodon will look to keep rolling in a tough home start versus the Tigers next week.
