Frias was designated for assignment by the Dodgers on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
A spot was needed for outfielder Brett Eibner, whom the Dodgers acquired in a trade with Oakland, and Frias was the roster casualty. Frias turned in respectable numbers in 10 appearances between Double-A and Triple-A last season but an injury put him on the shelf for the entire second half. Now 27, Frias has posted a 4.58 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, 10.5 H/9, 2.2 BB/9 and 6.7 K/9 in parts of three seasons at the Triple-A level (149.1 innings).

Frias was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday and placed on the 60-day DL.
EDGE Analysis
This amounts to nothing more than a procedural move to free up a spot on the 40-man roster. Frias had been on the DL at Oklahoma City since mid-July and will not pitch again this season.

Frias was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander was sent packing a day after his arrival from Oklahoma City, with the Dodgers deciding to go back to a four-man bench. Frias has made six starts in the minors this season (10 total appearances) but it's hard to imagine he'll be anything more than a spot-start option for the big club in the second half.

Frias was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The Dodgers' bullpen was in need of a fresh bullpen arm after using eight relievers in Wednesday's 14-inning contest. Frias, a right-hander, has not made an outing in the majors this season, but he did notch a 4.06 ERA across 17 relief appearances in 2015.

Frias was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City as the Dodgers reinstated Yasiel Puig from the disabled list.
EDGE Analysis
Frias was called up to the majors on Sunday and looked to be in line to fill a rotation spot for the Dodgers. However, it looks like the they have decided to go another direction and Frias will head back to Oklahoma City. The right-hander owns a 4.60 ERA in 31.3 innings at Triple-A.

Frias threw a bullpen session Monday and is an option to start Friday against the Pirates, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Dodgers' fifth rotation spot is up in the air now that Mike Bolsinger has lost the job. The bullpen session is not normal for relief pitchers, so it would make sense that Frias, called up Sunday, would slide into that spot. He posted a 4.06 ERA in 77.2 innings last year but struggled to miss bats, as he struck out just 43 batters (5.0 K/9).

Frias was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Frias has a 1-3 record with a 5.55 ERA at Oklahoma City this year, but the Dodgers determined that it would be better to roll with the 6-foot-4 right-hander than the current option, Mike Bolsinger. The Dodgers won't need another starter until next Thursday, where Frias would be lined up to square off against Jameson Taillon in Pittsburgh.

Frias will start for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday, David Vassegh of 570 AM LA Sports radio reports.
EDGE Analysis
After losing out on the No. 5 starter job to Ross Stripling in spring training, Frias reported to Oklahoma City, but he suffered an oblique injury before ever taking the mound in a game. The Dodgers sent him to Double-A Tulsa to knock some rust off after Frias was cleared to pitch -- have up just one run on three hits while striking out five over seven innings in his two starts for Tulsa. He could end up making a couple spot starts for the Dodgers down the road, but it's hard to imagine he'll claim a full-time rotation spot.

Frias (oblique) will make his season debut Thursday with Double-A Tulsa, Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Frias was on the disabled list to begin the season due to an oblique issue, but it appears he's back to full strength. If he sees some success in the Double-A rotation, there's a decent chance he could be moved up the ranks quickly considering his substantial time in the big league rotation last season.
