Correa left Monday's game against the Orioles after experiencing discomfort in his left foot's big toe, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic Houston reports.
EDGE Analysis
Following Correa's departure, J.D. Davis entered the game to play first base while Marwin Gonzalez moved to shortstop. It's unclear if Correa is dealing with a serious injury or if the decision to pull him from the game was a precautionary measure, but more information should be available soon. If he has to miss time, expect Gonzalez to fill in at shortstop.

Correa went 4-for-5 with one double, one home run, two runs scored and two RBI Saturday against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Correa had his first big performance of the season, though it surely won't be his last. He continued to show the ability to hit both right-handed and left-handed pitching well, hitting two doubles off Matt Moore before taking Jesse Chavez deep in the seventh inning. Correa is hitting in the heart of the excellent Astros', lineup so fantasy numbers should keep coming in bunches.

Correa will start at shortstop and bat cleanup in Thursday's opener against the Rangers, Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
EDGE Analysis
Correa will return to his familiar spot in the heart of the lineup after batting .300 with three home runs and 11 RBI across 60 at-bats during spring training. A thumb injury cost Correa nearly two months last season, but the 23-year-old still finished as one of the top fantasy producers at shortstop with 24 home runs, 84 RBI, 82 runs and a .315 average. With Houston retaining most of its core contributors from last season's run to the World Series, Correa is well positioned to set career highs across all those aforementioned counting-stats categories if he can avoid any extended trips to the disabled list.

The Astros renewed Correa's contract, the Associated Press reports. He'll earn $1 million for the 2018 season.
EDGE Analysis
That price tag seems like a bargain for a player like Correa, who whacked 24 home runs and had a .941 OPS in 109 games from the shortstop position in 2017, but the 23-year-old is still in his pre-arbitration years. The salary is the second-most ever allotted to a pre-arb player, behind only Kris Bryant ($1.05 million in 2017) of the Cubs. Correa will reprise his role as the Astros' starting shortstop in 2018 and, given better health, should push for 30 homers and a greater salary next offseason when he qualifies for arbitration.

Correa is out of the lineup Sunday against the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
The Astros are using Sunday as a chance to rest a handful of their regular starters, so Correa will get the day off. Marwin Gonzalez will start at shortstop in his place. Correa will carry a .315/.391/.550 line into Thursday's playoff game against Boston.

Correa went 4-for-4 with a double, a home run, a walk, three runs scored and three RBI in Thursday's 12-2 win over Boston.
EDGE Analysis
Correa has produced consecutive four-hit efforts while combining for three home runs and two doubles in those two games. It looks like the thumb injury Correa suffered earlier this season is fully behind him, which is great news both for the talented infielder with the playoffs approaching and for fantasy owners benefiting from his heroics down the stretch.

Correa went 4-for-5 with a double, two home runs and four RBI during Wednesday's win over Texas.
EDGE Analysis
While missing approximately a month and a half of the season due to a thumb injury definitely robbed Correa from a career-best showing, he's still posted an impressive fantasy campaign. He's now up to 23 homers, 81 RBI, 78 runs with a .308/.382/.539 slash line for the year and still has a few more games on the schedule to pad those statistics.

Correa went 3-for-3 with a walk, a double, three RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Correa's transition from a thumb injury hasn't gone as smooth as he'd like, going .182 (12-for-66) in 17 games since the Astros activated him off the 10-day disabled list. He had missed so much time due to the injury, it's natural that it's taking Correa some time to get back to form. He squared up a couple of balls and received an intentional free pass Saturday, a good sign he's rounding into form for the postseason. Perhaps Friday's day off was just the ticket.

Correa is out of the lineup Friday against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Houston's star shortstop hasn't been himself at the plate lately. Over the last three games he's gone 0-for-10. He'll get his first day off since returning from the DL on Sept. 3 as Marwin Gonzalez moves in from the outfield to fill in for Correa.

Correa went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer Sunday against the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
All of Houston's runs in this 7-1 win came on the team's four homers, with Correa's seventh-inning blast providing the final margin. Despite suiting up for only 98 games because of a thumb injury, the 2012 first overall pick has 21 long balls, 71 runs scored and 71 RBI. The soon-to-be 23-year-old shortstop projects to be among the best offensive options at his position for the next decade despite playing his home games at the pitcher-friendly Minute Maid Park.
