Correa (back) will not return until after the All-Star break, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, manager A.J. Hinch ruled Correa out for the final weekend in the first half of the 2018 campaign, and added that the shortstop will require a rehabilitation assignment in the minor leagues prior to his return. In previous days, Correa has resumed throwing, fielded groundballs and did some light hitting in the batting cage. If all goes well, he should be able to embark upon a minor-league assignment next week. Expect an update on his status later on this weekend as he continues to ramp up activities.

Correa (back) took ground balls for a second straight day Wednesday and, for the first time, incorporated some throwing during his pre-game work, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Correa did his most work Wednesday since hitting the disabled list June 26 and said he planned on hitting in a cage later in the day. There was no confirmation of him hitting, but the ramping up of baseball activities is a positive sign.

Correa (back) fielded groundballs from a stationary stance on the field before Monday's game, Christian Boutwell of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
While it was a minor achievement, this marks the first baseball activities for Correa since he landed on the disabled list. He is still not swinging a bat or moving in the field or on the bases, so there is no expectation that he will be back until sometime after the All-Star break.

Correa (back) has not participated in baseball activities since being placed on the 10-day disabled list, Hunter Atkins of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager A.J. Hinch said Correa hasn't progressed as fast as the Astros were hoping and are taking it day-to-day. The manager hasn't ruled out a return before the All-Star break, but that can't be considered until Correa is able to starting hitting, throwing and taking grounders.

Manager A.J. Hinch said Thursday that Correa (back) is not expected to return from the 10-day DL this weekend against the White Sox, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Correa will not be rushed back into action, as the 23-year-old has yet to resume baseball activities after landing on the shelf last Friday. With just seven games left before the All-Star break following the Astros' four-game set against Chicago weekend, it may be determined that the best course of action is to keep Correa out until the second half of the season.

Manager A.J. Hinch said Tuesday that Correa (back) is still not participating in baseball activities, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Back stiffness forced Correa to the disabled list last Friday and he remains effectively shut down, meaning a return this weekend when first eligible is pretty much out of the question. At this point, a return before the All-Star break may be a stretch. Hopefully this extended rest allows Correa to get back to the level of performance we're accustomed to seeing from him. He was slashing .268/.352/.480 before hitting the DL, down from .315/.391/.550 last season.

Correa (back) was placed on the 10-day disabled list prior to Thursday's game, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
This move will be backdated to Tuesday so Correa will be eligible to return from the shelf against the White Sox on July 6. The shortstop was held out of Tuesday's game after going 1-for-3 on Monday, and hasn't been able to take the field since. It doesn't appear as though he will require anything longer than the minimum stay on the DL, so expect to see him back in action next weekend. Look for Marwin Gonzalez to serve as the shortstop in his absence while Tony Kemp and Jake Marisnick earn a little more playing time in the outfield.

Correa (back) is out of the lineup Thursday against the Rays, Marc Topkin of The Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Correa will sit for a third consecutive contest as he continues to deal with a stiff back. Marwin Gonzalez will start in his absence yet again. Manager A.J. Hinch didn't sound too concerned when discussing Correa's status prior to Wednesday's game, so continue to consider him day-to-day for the time being.

Correa (back) is not in the lineup against Toronto on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Correa will remain on the bench for a second straight day due to back stiffness. Marwin Gonzalez will man the shortstop position in his place while Tony Kemp Kemp gets a start in left field. Consider Correa day-to-day ahead of Thursday's series opener in Tampa Bay.

Correa is being held out Tuesday with what manager A.J. Hinch is terming "back stiffness," Hunter Atkins of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Correa does not appear to be dealing with any sort of serious setback, but the sore back does leave his status day-to-day moving forward, and it could cost him further action with the Astros playing an early afternoon game Wednesday. Those hoping to include Correa in Wednesday's lineups will want to check for an update on his status when the Astros release their lineup for Wednesday's contest several hours prior to first pitch.
