Correa is not in the starting lineup Saturday against Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
Correa made his return to the lineup Friday after missing a few games with foot and heel discomfort, which is now understood to be plantar fasciitis. The 28-year-old went 1-for-3 with two walks in Friday's 3-1 loss and will be replaced at shortstop by Kyle Farmer, who will bat eighth versus the Blue Jays.

Correa (foot/heel) is in the Twins' lineup Friday versus the Blue Jays, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Correa has been sidelined for much of this week due to foot and heel discomfort, but he tested it all out during a pregame workout and felt good enough to give it a go in the series opener against Toronto. Given the diagnosis here -- plantar fasciitis along with a muscle strain in the arch of his left foot -- more days off for rest and treatment should be expected even as Correa thankfully manages to avoid the injured list.

Twins manager Rocco Baldelli said Friday that he's optimistic Correa (foot) will be able to avoid the injured list, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Correa hasn't played since Monday due to plantar fasciitis in his left heel and a muscle strain in the arch of the same foot, but Baldelli's comments suggest that the star shortstop could be back in action sometime during Minnesota's three-game weekend series against the Blue Jays. It's something that Correa might have to manage for a while with off-and-on stretches of availability.

Twins manager Rocco Baldelli said prior to Wednesday's game against the Giants that Correa is dealing with a muscle strain in the arch of his left foot in addition to plantar fasciitis in his heel, John Shipley of the St. Paul Pioneer Press. "I think we get to Friday and some of our decisions might be made for us," Baldelli said, when asked if Correa would require a stint on the 10-day injured list.
EDGE Analysis
After undergoing an MRI on Tuesday, Correa was revealed to be dealing with bruising and inflammation to the heel, but Baldelli's latest update suggests the veteran shortstop's injury could be more serious. Correa is out of the lineup for the second day in a row Wednesday, and the Twins still seem to be holding out hope that the 28-year-old can show enough improvement coming out of Thursday's off day to avoid the IL. Kyle Farmer is filling in at shortstop Wednesday and would be the primary option to pick up starts at the position if Correa requires a shutdown of any length of time.

Correa (heel) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Correa's move to the bench for the day game after a night game comes as little surprise after an MRI administered on his bruised left heel Tuesday revealed inflammation. The Twins are treating Correa as day-to-day for the time being, presumably with the hope that he'll be fit to return to the lineup at some point during the weekend series with Toronto following a team off day Thursday. Kyle Farmer will pick up another start at shortstop Wednesday while Correa sits for a second consecutive day.

An MRI on Correa's bruised left heel showed inflammation and he's unlikely to play Wednesday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Correa was scratched from the lineup Tuesday due to the issue. With an off day Thursday, Correa would get three days off if he sits out Wednesday's game. Kyle Farmer started at shortstop in Tuesday's game and will likely stay at the position until Correa returns.

Correa was scratched from the lineup Tuesday due to a bruised left heel, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
This sounds like a day-to-day type of situation for Correa. Kyle Farmer will play shortstop and bat sixth versus the Giants and right-hander Alex Cobb. Donovan Solano is playing third base and hitting second.

Correa went 2-for-5 with one double, two RBI and one run scored in Sunday's 16-3 win over the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
After a slow start to the season (hitting .185 with a .624 OPS through his first 32 games), Correa is hitting .333 (7-for-21) with a home run and four doubles over his last five games. He has a 1.058 OPS over that span.

Correa went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Saturday's 11-1 rout of the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
He piled up his production after the game was well in hand, connecting on a solo shot in the seventh inning and a two-run single in the eighth. Correa is showing signs of life at the plate -- he's cracked an extra-base hit in four straight games and has three of his six homers on the season in May, along with 11 of his 21 RBI -- but through 11 contests on the month he's still batting just .196 (9-for-46).

Correa went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Thursday's 5-3 victory over the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Correa has had a slow start to the season as he's hitting just .191 with a .646 OPS. He came through with a key double late in the game to give the Twins the lead, so perhaps it's a sign he's set to break out of his slump. He's drawing walks (10.6 BB%) and striking out (21 K%) at similar rates to his career averages, so he may be just a bit unlucky so far with a .204 BABIP.
