Carrasco allowed two hits and two walks over six scoreless innings during Saturday's 12-inning win over the Cardinals. He had six strikeouts and didn't factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran right-hander gave up 10 runs over 12 innings across is past three starts, but he rebounded by shutting down the Cardinals on Saturday. Carrasco missed out on the victory, as the two offenses combined for only nine hits despite playing three extra frames. He has a 3.75 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 45:17 K:BB through 36 innings, and he lines up to take the mound next weekend versus the Brewers.

Carrasco (2-3) allowed four runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out four over 3.1 innings as he was charged with the loss Sunday against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco lasted six innings in each of his first three starts of 2020, but he's fared considerably worse in his last three outings. He's failed to pitch more than 4.1 innings during that time and now carries a 4.50 ERA and 35:15 K:BB over 30 innings during his first six starts. The right-hander will try to right the ship on the road Saturday against the Cardinals.

Carrasco allowed three earned runs on five hits and three walks while striking out five across 4.1 innings Tuesday against the Pirates. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco surrendered one run in the first inning, but then settled in. However, he allowed two of the first three batters he faced to reach base in the fifth frame, both of whom were driven in on a double by Josh Bell. Carrasco has uncharacteristically battled his control of late, surrendering 12 free passes in his last 14.2 innings. He still has a respectable 3.71 ERA with 35 strikeouts across 26.2 innings for the season, but has struggled to work deep into games due to his inability to find the zone. He'll look to work more efficiently in his next start, currently scheduled for Sunday against Detroit.

Carrasco (2-2) allowed three earned runs on four hits and five walks while striking out seven across 4.1 innings to take the loss Wednesday against the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco worked around his control struggles, as he stranded all five batters he walked. However, he surrendered a solo home run to Anthony Rizzo to lead off the third inning. His bullpen also didn't help him, as he exited with two runners on in the fifth inning, both of whom came around to score. Carrasco had worked six innings in each of three starts prior to this effort, and still maintains a 3.22 ERA across 22.1 frames this season. He'll look to get back on track in his next outing, currently projected to come Tuesday at Pittsburgh.

Carrasco (2-1) allowed one hit and four walks over six scoreless innings in a win over the Reds on Thursday. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
It looked like Carrasco lost a little something as he pushed up close to 100 pitches -- he issued back-to-back two-out walks and uncorked a wild pitch in the sixth inning -- but he was brilliant otherwise. Carrasco now has a 2.50 ERA and 23:6 K:BB in 18 innings this season. A borderline ace serving as the No. 3 starter for Cleveland, Carrasco lines up face the Cubs at home in his next start.

Carrasco (1-1) took the loss Saturday as Cleveland dropped a 3-0 decision to the Twins, allowing three runs on six hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
All three runs scored on solo shots, as Minnesota's 2019 power surge has continued right into 2020. Carrasco still produced his second straight quality start to begin the season, an outstanding display from a pitcher whose career seemed to be in jeopardy after he was diagnosed with leukemia last year. He'll try to stay locked in for his next outing, a home start Thursday against the Reds.

Carrasco (1-0) allowed two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out 10 over six innings as he earned the win Sunday against the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco began his 2020 season on a high note with a quality start Sunday as he struck out the Royals with ease. He allowed runs in the fourth and fifth innings but got plenty of run support from Cleveland's offense, allowing him to pick up a comfortable win Sunday. The right-hander's next start should come on the road Friday against the Twins.

Carrasco is scheduled to start the third game of the regular season against the Royals, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco is set to follow Shane Bieber and Mike Clevinger. The right-hander is looking to get back on track in 2020 after a difficult 2019 season. Over the past three seasons, Carrasco owns a 3.66 ERA and 10.5 K/9 in 472 innings.

Carrasco has already built up to a six-inning workload, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pitchers' expected workloads will be something to monitor over the course of the month, as having a pitch count in even just the first two starts of the season could represent a full sixth of a given pitcher's starts this year. It sounds as though Carrasco was lucky enough to be able to build up on his own before joining his teammates for their first workouts together since March, so he'll likely be unrestricted to start the season.

Indians president of baseball operations Chris Antonetti said Monday that Carrasco (elbow) will be ready to go when the Indians resume training this week, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco's status for Opening Day was looking iffy after he required an injection in his sore right elbow back in mid-March, but he was apparently able to take advantage of MLB's nearly four-month shutdown to make a full recovery. The Indians could choose to ease Carrasco along more carefully than their other starting pitchers in workouts once camp begins, but the right-hander should remain roughly on pace with the rest of his rotation mates by the time the Indians begin their 60-game season in late July.
