Maybin will return to his regular role in center field following a five-game absence, and will bat atop the order as well. The Tigers had delayed disclosing a lineup in order to buy more time to assess Maybin's availability, and it appears his pregame workouts went well enough to earn the starting nod. That being said, his plate appearances will likely be monitored closely by manager Brad Ausmus.

This news means there was no new ligament damage for Maybin and manager Brad Ausmus even said Maybin was available to pinch run Tuesday. Owners can rest easy knowing the outfielder is day-to-day in advance of Wednesday's game.
