It isn't out of the question to speculatively add Maybin if you're in need of help in the runs and stolen bases columns.

Maybin collected three more hits and two runs in four at-bats Wednesday against the White Sox.

Coming off of a five-hit light show against Chicago a day earlier, Maybin showed no signs of slowing up. The 30-year-old outfielder isn't producing anywhere near the numbers he put up last season, but the past two games have raised his batting average 51 points and could be just what he needs to get back to the form that batted .315 with the Tigers in 2016.

Maybin was locked in at the plate Tuesday, going 5-for-6 with three doubles, two RBI and two runs scored in an extra-inning win over the White Sox.

The speedy outfielder provided a spark for the Angels' offense atop the lineup, leading off for the first time this season. While this stat line looks impressive, it comes on the heels of an 0-for-14 stretch in Maybin's previous five games, which kept his batting average at a paltry .212 on the season even with the five-hit performance. The 30-year-old has maintained deep-league value with his speed (nine steals) and run production (18 runs), but he needs to show more consistency in regards to his batting average to become a consistent asset in standard formats.

Maybin went 1-for-3 with a walk and his sixth stolen base of the season in a 2-1 loss to the Athletics.

EDGE Analysis

The 30-year-old continues to struggle early in the season, slashing a meager .206/.306/.278 in 97 plate appearances. Maybin has salvaged some fantasy value with his legs, tallying 14 runs and six steals so far, but he will need to pick things up at the plate to stay relevant in standard formats. There is hope that the veteran can turn things around with a career-high 11.2 walk rate and a .247 BABIP that is well below his .319 career mark.
