The Padres worked a run off of Quantrill in the second after they led off the inning with a single and a double that scored Xander Bogaerts from first. Quantrill would later surrender two more runs in the fifth, both off of solo homers from Kyle Higashioka and Jurickson Profar. Quantrill has now failed to go at least five innings in consecutive starts and in three of his last five. He only has one win since June 11 and has been exhibiting some control issues of late, walking multiple batters in five of his last six outings. Quantrill now owns a 4.56 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 92:48 K:BB in 122.1 innings and lines up to face Atlanta in his next start over the weekend.

Quantrill allowed seven runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out four over 3.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Angels.

EDGE Analysis

The Rockies led 6-2 after the second inning, but Quantrill let the Angels pull ahead by the end of the fourth. He was able to avoid a loss, but this was arguably his worst start of the season. He failed to complete five innings in two of his five starts in July, allowing 20 runs (19 earned) over 22.2 innings. For the season, he's posted a 4.50 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 90:45 K:BB through 118 innings over 22 starts. Quantrill is projected to make his next start at San Diego this weekend.

Quantrill (7-7) earned the win Wednesday against the Red Sox, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out three.

EDGE Analysis

Quantrill was solid Wednesday and got more than enough run support in an eventual 20-7 Rockies victory. It's the 29-year-old Quantrill's first win since June 11, though he's now turned in back-to-back quality starts. His ERA sits at 4.09 through 21 starts (114.1 innings) this season with a 1.34 WHIP and 86:43 K:BB. Quantrill's tentatively lined up to face the Angels at home in his next outing.

Quantrill yielded three runs on five hits and two walks over six innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out five during the win over the Giants.

EDGE Analysis

Quantrill coughed up a pair of runs in the second inning and another in the third. Unfortunately for him, the Rockies didn't take the lead until the eighth inning, so he's still searching for his first win since June 11. In six starts since that last victory, Quantril has posted a 6.44 ERA through 29.1 frames. He's now sporting a 4.15 ERA with an 83:41 K:BB through 108.1 innings Quantrill's next appearance is currently lined up to be at home against the Red Sox.

Quantrill (6-7) took the loss Tuesday as the Rockies fell 12-6 to the Reds, giving up five runs on four hits and a walk over two innings. He struck out four.

EDGE Analysis

Three of the four hits off the right-hander went for extra bases, including homers by Tyler Stephenson and Will Benson in the second inning. Quantrill has been taken deep five times in his last two road starts, so even being away from Coors Field isn't offering much of a respite for him. Over his last five outings he's saddled with a 6.94 ERA, 1.67 WHIP and 22:9 K:BB through 23.1 innings. Quantrill will try to turn things around in his last start before the All-Star break, which is scheduled to come on the road against the Mets this weekend.

Quantrill did not factor into the decision in a win over the Brewers on Thursday, allowing two runs on five hits and four walks over five innings. He struck out two.

EDGE Analysis

Quantrill struggled with his command throughout the night, needing 28 pitches to get through the opening frame before issuing three walks in the fourth. The right-hander had posted a 13:1 K:BB over his previous two starts coming in, though he's now allowed 19 hits over his last three outings (16.1 innings). Quantrill will look to earn his first win since June 11 when the Rockies travel to Cincinnati next week to take on the Reds.

Quantrill (6-6) took the loss against the White Sox on Saturday, allowing five runs on seven hits and no walks with eight strikeouts over 5.1 innings.

EDGE Analysis

Quantrill opened with four scoreless innings before allowing a two-run home run to Lenyn Sosa in the fifth. He had a rough sixth frame, surrendering a solo homer to Luis Robert Jr. and a two-run shot to Paul DeJong before being pulled at 90 pitches. This was the first time Quantrill didn't walk a batter in an start since May 3, but he was burned by the long ball and has now yielded 11 earned runs over his last three outings. On the season, the 29-year-old owns a 3.78 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 72:34 K:BB over 95.1 innings and lines up to face the Brewers next week.

Most of the damage against Quantrill came in the third when CJ Abrams tagged him for a leadoff double to open the inning before then advancing to third on a balk. The right-hander would go on to surrender two runs in the frame before later giving up a leadoff homer to Abrams in the fifth, though the former was still able to get through six innings for the seventh time in his last 10 starts. Quantrill has given up three or fewer runs in four consecutive outings, though he's also allowed seven hits in each of his last two.

EDGE Analysis

Quantrill came into the contest having tossed back-to-back scoreless starts, but he wasn't able to maintain that level of sharpness Monday. The right-hander fell behind 3-0 through two frames, and though he held Los Angeles scoreless for the remainder of his outing, he didn't get the run support necessary to be taken off the hook for the loss. Quantrill has had a few poor appearances this season but has generally been a positive addition to the Rockies' rotation, recording a 3.43 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 59:33 K:BB through 84 innings.

Quantrill (6-4) picked up the win Tuesday against Minnesota, allowing three hits and one walk with five strikeouts across six scoreless innings.

EDGE Analysis

Quantrill has gone 11 straight innings without allowing a run and issued fewer than two walks for the first time in four starts. The 29-year-old didn't yield an extra-base hit Tuesday and didn't let a runner get past second base, qualifying for his sixth quality start in his last eight outings. While his strikeout stuff has been hit-or-miss, Quantrill owns a 6-1 record and a 1.91 ERA since the start of May. He's tentatively scheduled to face the Dodgers at Coors Field on Monday. Quantrill allowed four runs in 4.1 innings when he faced the Dodgers in Los Angeles on June 1.
