EDGE Analysis
Hernandez broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring single that plated Freddy Galvis in the second, and then drove in Cody Asche in the fifth to snap a 2-2 deadlock. The 26-year-old now has eight multi-hit outings in July, and is hitting .313 in what could shape up as his most successful month of the season to date.

Hernandez will make a seventh straight start at second base Sunday against the Royals, Meghan Montemurro of The News Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hernandez appeared to have lost his hold on the starting second base job to Andres Blanco in the second half of June, but a recent resurgence seems to have solidified his standing on the depth chart. He's gone 16-for-32 with six runs and three RBI since June 23.

Hernandez is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Giants, Matt Gelb of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old turned in a four-hit game earlier this week but has struggled throughout the season and his opportunities have dwindled as a result. Saturday's absence marks his fifth in the team's last eight games. Hernandez's walk rate is down 2.5 percent from last year, resulting in a 37-point drop in on-base percentage.

Hernandez went 4-for-4 with a triple, three runs scored and a walk in a 7-3 win over the Twins on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Hernandez wasn't in the original starting lineup, but Tommy Joseph was scratched which moved Andres Blanco to first base, opening up second for Hernandez. Blanco has been getting more playing time at second base of late, so Hernandez needed a strong performance to get back into the mix.

Hernandez did not start for the third time in four games Tuesday, but manager Pete Mackanin hasn't given up on him yet, Matt Gelb of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. "He's going to get more opportunities, more playing time," Mackanin said. "But he has to make some adjustments and he's not making them. We work on it. We talk to him about it."
EDGE Analysis
Andres Blanco started in place of Hernandez on Tuesday. Hernandez has hit just .248/.293/.336 with two home runs and three stolen bases this season. He's been a major disappointment with his stolen base output thus far after swiping 19 bags in 127 games last season.

EDGE Analysis
This is the second straight day that Hernandez has been held out of action, but the team has yet to disclose any information regarding a potential injury. While Phillies fans await news on the switch-hitting infielder, Andres Blanco will draw the start at the keystone and bat leadoff in the order.

Hernandez went 1-for-3 with a solo homer Tuesday at the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
