Buxton is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Buxton will receive Sunday off after a run of 14 consecutive starts, and he was productive during that stretch with two doubles, two triples and five homers despite a 32.8 percent strikeout rate. Harrison Bader will shift to center field while DaShawn Keirsey picks up a start in left.

Buxton went 1-for-5 with a two-run homer in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Buxton struck out in each of his first three at-bats, but he extended the Twins' lead to three runs in the seventh inning, when he took Cam Booser deep to left-center field for a two-run homer. It was Buxton's fifth home run of the season, two of which have come over his last three games, though over that span he has also struck out seven times.

Buxton went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a double in Sunday's 6-2 loss to Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Buxton doubled in the fifth inning and then launched a 434-foot blast in the seventh. Over his last 10 games, the 31-year-old has tallied six extra-base hits and five multi-hit efforts. For the season, he's slashing .244/.277/.474 with four homers, 10 RBI, 17 runs scored and five steals across 83 plate appearances.

Buxton went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, a second RBI, a walk, a stolen base and three runs scored in Friday's 7-6 loss to the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Buxton did a little of everything after returning from a personal absence that kept him out of action for the last two days. The oft-injured outfielder has struggled to hit much early in 2025, batting just .178 (8-for-45) over 12 contests. He's made up for it partially with two homers, three steals, six RBI and 10 runs scored, though he's also posted a 2:17 BB:K. Plate discipline isn't a particularly strong part of Buxton's style, but he has a bit of power and speed if he can stay in the lineup. Early in the season, he's been the Twins' starting center fielder.

Buxton is not with the Twins in Kansas City, as he has returned home to deal with a personal matter, Bobby Nightengale of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
The revelation explains why Buxton is not in the lineup Thursday for the second day in a row. The Twins begin a homestand Friday, although it's unclear whether Buxton is expected to be back in the lineup that day. Harrison Bader is handling center field for Minnesota on Thursday.

Buxton is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest in Kansas City.
EDGE Analysis
It's the second day in a row that Buxton has been absent from the Twins' lineup. He's not dealing with any known injury, so this appears to be about giving Buxton an extended breather after he wore the golden sombrero Tuesday. Harrison Bader is in center field and batting ninth for Minnesota on Thursday.

Buxton is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Buxton will head to the bench for the first time in 2025 after hitting .171 with one home run, two stolen bases, four RBI and seven runs through Minnesota's first 11 games. His absence clears a spot in the lineup for DaShawn Keirsey, who will occupy right field in his first start of the season.

Buxton went 0-for-3 with a hit by pitch, a run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
The contest got paused in the fourth inning when the 31-year-old outfielder got plunked in the hand by a 92.6 mph fastball from Spencer Arrighetti, but Buxton stayed in the game and got his revenge by immediately stealing his second bag of the season. Per Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic, there was no indication from Twins manager Rocco Baldelli that Buxton will require any further testing on his hand, but given his length medical history, the team may yet elect to be cautious with him. Through eight appearances to begin the season, Buxton is batting just .214 (6-for-28), but he's added one homer, three RBI and six runs. The early activity on the basepaths is also encouraging, as he hasn't swiped double-digit bases in a season since 2019.

Buxton went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
It's the first stolen base of the year for Buxton, who hasn't swiped more than nine bags in any of his previous five injury-hampered seasons. The 31-year-old outfielder appears to be healthy to start the campaign -- he's gone 6-for-25 with a home run, five runs scored and three RBI through his first 26 plate appearances.

Buxton went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and two RBI in Wednesday's 6-1 win over the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
The center fielder came into the afternoon with zero extra-bases hits through his first five games, but Buxton broke out with a first-inning solo shot off Sean Burke. Buxton also doubled his hit and run totals on the season with Wednesday's performance, and he's up to three RBI.
