Wilson apparently felt the cramping on every pitch during the fifth frame, which is when Miami tallied both its runs off him via a two-run homer from Nick Fortes. The right-hander pitched well even with the injury, as he threw 48 of his 68 pitches for strikes. Wilson downplayed the issue after the contest, so he may be able to make his next turn through the rotation.

Wilson (2-7) allowed five runs on seven hits and two walks over 4.1 innings and took a loss against Washington on Sunday.

All five runs against Wilson came via the long ball and he failed to record a strikeout in the subpar outing. He allowed two solo homers to Luis Garcia and Alex Avila followed by a big three-run shot by Lane Thomas. He's lined up to take the mound in Miami next week.
