Wilson signed a contract with the Phillies on Friday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson endured one of his worst years in the majors this past season, logging a 6.65 ERA and 1.82 WHIP across 47.1 innings with the White Sox. The 27-year-old righty will now head to Philadelphia and presumably work as a multi-inning reliever, though he could face competition for a spot on the Opening Day roster during spring training.

Wilson elected to become a free agent Wednesday, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson finished the season at Triple-A Charlotte after the White So removed him from their 40-man roster, but he's now exercised his right to free agency. The 27-year-old posted a 6.65 ERA and 28:19 K:BB over 47.1 innings during his time with Chicago this season and it seems likely he'll have to settle for a minor-league contract this winter.

The White Sox designated Wilson for assignment Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson's time with the White Sox will come to an end after just five days, during which he threw two shutout innings in his lone appearance Tuesday against Minnesota. The 27-year-old cleared waivers and remained with the organization when he was DFA'd in June, and there's a strong chance he does the same this time around.

The White Sox selected Wilson's contract from Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
After Wilson produced a 6.65 ERA, 1.90 WHIP and 27:19 K:BB in 45.1 innings over 19 appearances (five starts) in the majors, the White Sox pushed him off their 40-man roster June 10. He remained in the organization upon clearing waivers, and he's performed well as a swingman for Charlotte, netting a 3.86 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 36:8 K:BB in 39.2 innings over 14 appearances (seven starts). Assuming he isn't needed in relief Sunday, Wilson could slot into the rotation spot vacated by Aaron Civale, who had been scheduled to start Monday's game in Minnesota before he was claimed off waivers by the Cubs.

Wilson cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Charlotte on Saturday, Kyle Williams of the Chicago Sun-Timesf reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson was designated for assignment Tuesday, but after clearing waivers he'll remain in Chicago's organization. The veteran right-hander has struggled with the White Sox this season, posting a 6.95 ERA, 1.90 WHIP and 27:19 K:BB over 45.1 innings. Wilson had been working mostly out of the bullpen in the majors, though has made five starts across 19 total appearances.

The White Sox designated Wilson for assignment Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The transaction frees spots on the 26-man active roster and 40-man roster for right-hander Grant Taylor, who was promoted from Double-A Birmingham. Wilson has collected an uninspiring 6.95 ERA and 27:19 K:BB over five starts and 14 relief appearances this season with the Pale Hose.

Wilson surrendered eight earned runs on 12 hits and one walk while striking out two over five innings of relief in Monday's 13-1 loss to the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Since being called upon to make his fifth start of the season May 24 against the Rangers, Wilson has shifted back to the bullpen with Adrian Houser having taken control of the final spot in the rotation. After his most recent start, Wilson faced three batters in relief in last Wednesday's win over the Mets before he was tasked with mopping up Monday's blowout loss after starter Jonathan Cannon was tagged for five earned runs over three innings. Cannon was placed on the injured list a day later due to a back injury, but the White Sox aren't expected to immediately turn back to Wilson to fill the vacancy in the rotation. Instead, the White Sox will opt for a bullpen day in Wednesday's game against the Tigers, with lefty Jared Shuster likely to cover anywhere between 1-to-3 innings before being followed by a slew of relievers.

Wilson did not factor into the decision Saturday, allowing four runs (two earned) on five hits, two walks, and one hit by pitch over four-plus innings against the Rangers. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson filled in for probable starter Jonathan Cannon, who was scratched due to lower-back tightness. The 27-year-old made it through four innings while allowing two runs before a Josh Rojas error in the fifth facilitated his exit. Two additional runs were later charged to his line after reliever Mike Vasil was unable to escape the jam. Overall, Wilson has had a tough start to the 2025 season, posting a 5.84 ERA and 1.78 WHIP across 37 innings while bouncing between the rotation and bullpen.

Wilson will start Saturday's game against the Rangers, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old will be taking the place of Jonathan Cannon, who was scratched from his start due to lower-back tightness. Wilson hasn't pitched in a game since May 15, and he owns a 6.00 ERA and 1.79 WHIP through 33 innings this season.

Wilson was spotted warming up in the bullpen during Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Mariners, Kyle Williams of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson wasn't called upon in relief, but his presence in the bullpen nonetheless confirms that he's not expected to be in line for any starts in the near future after he had been serving as the fifth member of the White Sox rotation since Martin Perez suffered what could be a season-ending elbow injury in late April. After Wilson was lit up for seven earned runs in 5.1 innings in his latest start last Thursday in Cincinnati, the White Sox opted to replace him in the rotation with Adrian Houser, who signed a one-year deal with the club Tuesday. Houser started later that day and tossed six scoreless innings in a win over Seattle, so he should have a fair amount of security in the rotation before the White Sox would consider turning back to Wilson.
