Wilson has surrendered two runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out nine across 9.2 innings over his four Grapefruit League outings.
EDGE Analysis
With Mike Foltynewicz (elbow) and Mike Soroka (shoulder) both slated to begin the season on the injured list, Wilson has put himself in the mix for the final spot in the Braves' Opening Day rotation. Fellow young hurlers Kyle Wright and Touki Toussaint loom as Wilson's top competition for the rotation vacancy, but the 21-year-old right-hander might have helped his case in his most recent outing Tuesday versus the Cardinals. In the 5-0 win, Wilson covered four scoreless frames and conceded just one hit while pumping in 41 of his 56 pitches for strikes. Expect Wilson to get at least one more start this spring before the Braves decide whether to keep him in the majors or option him to Triple-A Gwinnett.

Wilson was one of a handful of September callups Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson threw five scoreless innings in his big-league debut back on Aug. 20. There doesn't appear to be room in the rotation for him to make another start, but he'll serve as additional bullpen depth as the Braves fight for a playoff spot.

Wilson was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday, David O'Brien of The Athletic Atlanta reports.
EDGE Analysis
This was fully anticipated, as Wilson was just making a spot start in his big-league debut Monday against the Pirates. However, he was impressive enough that Mark Bowman of MLB.com speculated that Wilson could make a few more starts for the Braves in September. If there is no need in the rotation, Wilson could be used as a weapon out of the big-league bullpen when rosters expand.

Wilson (1-0) tossed five scoreless innings Monday against the Pirates, allowing three hits and three walks while striking out five. He picked up the win.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson was rewarded for an excellent minor-league season with a spot on the 40-man roster and a pre-September start in the majors. He is expected to be optioned back to Triple-A but will be back up in September. Mark Bowman of MLB.com said Wilson may make a few more big-league starts this season, but he could also be used as a weapon out of the bullpen. He doesn't have quite the name value of some other Braves pitching prospects, but Wilson has a chance to be as good as any of them. He has a very solid three-pitch repertoire and was comfortably sitting in the mid-90s with his fastball during his big-league debut. Prior to his promotion, he logged a 3.27 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 139:35 K:BB in 123.2 innings across the top three levels of the minors. He doesn't turn 21 until Dec. 20.

Wilson was called up from Triple-A Gwinnett and will start Monday's game versus Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
The 20-year-old will make his major-league debut somewhat unexpectedly, taking the place of projected starter Kevin Gausman just hours prior to the first pitch. According to Mark Bowman of MLB.com, this will allow the club to push each starter back a day. Across three starts with Gwinnett, Wilson posted a 4.50 ERA and 0.85 WHIP with a sparkling 24:2 K:BB over 20 innings. In order to make room for Wilson, Ryan Flaherty was designated for assignment and Chad Bell was outrighted to Triple-A.

Wilson (3-0) was dominant for Triple-A Gwinnett in Wednesday's win over Louisville, allowing only one hit over eight scoreless innings while striking out a career-high 13.
EDGE Analysis
The Braves' No. 11 fantasy prospect had been cuffed around in his first two starts for Gwinnett since a promotion at the beginning of August, but he rebounded in impressive fashion, retiring the first 10 batters he faced and facing the minimum number of batters through eight frames. Wilson isn't on the 40-man roster yet, but Atlanta hasn't been afraid to start the service clock early on their top pitching prospects this season as the team pushes for the playoffs, so the 20-year-old could be the next arm to get called up if he continues to shut down International League hitters.

Wilson was promoted from Double-A Mississippi to Triple-A Gwinnett on Wednesday, Sam Dykstra of MiLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson was one of several top prospects in the organization promoted this week, with fellow starting pitcher Kyle Wright also joining him in Gwinnett. It's the second move of the season for Wilson, who made a brief stop at High-A Florida to open the campaign before posting a 3.97 ERA and 89:26 K:BB in 77 innings in the Southern League.

Wilson threw seven scoreless innings Thursday for Double-A Mississippi in a win over Montgomery, giving up three hits and a walk while tying his season high with nine strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
The 20-year-old right-hander has been absolutely brilliant since the calendar flipped to July, allowing only two runs in 27 innings over four starts with a 34:4 K:BB. Wilson's overall numbers in his first exposure to Double-A haven't been exceptional since an early-May promotion from High-A (4.13 ERA, 1.32 WHIP 81:23 K:BB in 72 innings), but it looks like he's figured things out. The Braves' No. 13 fantasy prospect could still see a late-season move up to Triple-A Gwinnett if he continues to dominate the Southern League, but even if he remains in Double-A through the rest of the year, Wilson is on track for a potential 2019 big-league debut.

Wilson (2-0) fired 6.2 scoreless innings for High-A Florida in Thursday's win over Lakeland, scattering three hits and two walks while striking out four.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander has been dealing to begin the season, and Wilson now boasts a 0.45 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 19:5 K:BB through his first 20 innings at High-A. The Braves' system is loaded with pitching prospects and the organization has little reason to rush the 20-year-old, but if Wilson keeps putting up numbers like this, he'll get his first crack at Double-A over the summer.

Wilson tossed six scoreless innings Wednesday in Low-A Rome's win over Augusta, allowing four hits and two walks while striking out six.
EDGE Analysis
The 19-year-old righty gets overlooked in a stacked Braves farm system, sitting as their No. 16 fantasy prospect (and No. 10 pitcher), but in another organization Wilson would be soaring up the rankings after posting a 2.93 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 47:10 K:BB in 46 innings over his last eight starts. An over-slot fourth-round pick in the 2016 draft, his plus fastball and slider could eventually make him a dominant late-inning reliever in the majors if his changeup never develops, but given his early success in a starting role expect Atlanta to give him every opportunity to work on that third pitch as he climbs the ladder.
