Shaw tossed a scoreless inning in relief against the Brewers on Tuesday, striking out one without allowing a baserunner in Colorado's 4-3 loss.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw struggled last season with a 5.93 ERA and a 1.79 WHIP over 54.2 innings, and also had a rough spring training, but the right-hander is pitching well to start 2019. With Tuesday's scoreless outing, Shaw has now yielded just two earned runs over 18 innings, giving him a 1.00 ERA in 15 games. If he can keep it up, he should continue to see steady work out of Colorado's bullpen helping set up closer Wade Davis.

Shaw has a 5.59 ERA and a 1.86 WHIP through 9.2 innings this spring.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old is coming off a rough campaign that saw him post a 5.93 ERA and a 1.79 WHIP over 54.2 innings, and he's offered up similar returns so far in spring training, yielding six earned runs over his 10 appearances. With Wade Davis locked in as Colorado's closer, Shaw wouldn't hold a great deal of fantasy value even if he does manage to turn it around and start providing better ratios.

Shaw (calf) was reinstated from the 10-day disabled list Wednesday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw will be available out of the bullpen against the Diamondbacks after appearing in a pair of rehab outings with Triple-A Albuquerque in recent days. In a corresponding move, the Rockies optioned Jerry Vasto back to the minors.

Shaw (calf) will make rehab appearances Friday and Sunday for Triple-A Albuquerque, Nick Groke of The Athletic Denver reports.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw struggled to a 7.57 ERA prior to going down with a calf strain in late June. If he ends up needing just the pair of rehab appearances, he could be lined up to return Tuesday for the start of next week's mid-week series against Arizona.

Shaw was placed on the 10-day disabled list Sunday with a right calf strain.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw has struggled recently, posting a 12.83 ERA in his last 16 appearances (with an additional six unearned runs not accounted for in that figure). He's walked more batters (nine) than he's struck out (eight) over that stretch. Yency Almonte was promoted from Triple-A Albuquerque to take his place in the bullpen.

Shaw (1-3) allowed three runs on three hits over one inning while taking the loss Tuesday against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw came on in the sixth inning tasked to hold a 3-2 lead, but after a single and groundout he allowed back-to-back home runs and was served with the loss and blown save for his second appearance in a row. It's been a bumpy road for the 30-year-old this season, who now has a 5.92 ERA and 1.56 WHIP through 24.1 innings.

Shaw concluded spring training with a 9.00 ERA and a 2.33 WHIP in six innings pitched.
EDGE Analysis
Much of the damage done to the veteran's stat line came courtesy of the home run ball, as he served up four of them in his limited spring action. One silver lining to his rough spring were the nine strikeouts he collected in that span. Overall, it doesn't seem like Shaw's standing in the bullpen is impacted by these struggles since the Rockies tend to focus more on individual adjustments rather than the results prior to the regular season's start. The 30-year-old appears to still be in line for a prominent late-inning role in the Colorado bullpen.

Shaw has agreed to sign with the Rockies, Jon Heyman of FanRagSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
In seven seasons with the Diamondbacks, Shaw has posted a 3.13 ERA, 2.64 K/BB rate, and 8.0 K/9 across 446 1/3 innings. The 30-year-old has also impressed with his durability, as he has never seen the disabled list in his career. However, he has only racked up 11 career saves due to primarily serving as a setup man. It remains to be seen if the Rockies will look to grab a more established closer on the market.

Shaw (4-6) was tagged with the loss against Minnesota on Tuesday after giving up a three-run homer to Brian Dozier in the eighth inning.
EDGE Analysis
He did record a pair of strikeouts, but Shaw put the ducks on the pond for Dozier and then gave up the long ball, leaving him with a 3.55 ERA and 1.21 WHIP -- not exactly spectacular bullpen numbers, but not altogether dissimilar to what he put up last season. Shaw hasn't offered his fantasy owners many surprises, collecting 20-plus holds for the fourth consecutive season in a setup role behind Cody Allen.

Shaw worked two perfect innings Wednesday while striking out three to record his third save of the season in a 6-5 win over the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Cody Allen and Andrew Miller had both pitched the night before, so manager Terry Francona elected to let Shaw finish the job after he squelched a potential Angels rally in the eighth inning, leaving the tying run stranded at first base. The righty's now thrown 50 pitches over the last two games, so expect him to get a few days off before he's summoned from the bullpen again.
