The Brewers and Turang avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $4.15 million contract Thursday, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Turang had been eligible for salary arbitration for the first time, so he's getting a massive raise. The second baseman slashed .288/.359/.435 with a career-high 18 home runs and 24 stolen bases over 156 regular-season contests for the Brewers this past season.

Turang is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
The left-handed-hitting Turang will take a seat Sunday against southpaw Matthew Liberatore. The second baseman had been part of the starting nine in each of the Brewers' last 14 games and went 14-for-56 (.250 average) with eight runs scored and seven RBI during that stretch.

Turang went 1-for-5 with one RBI in Saturday's 3-2 extra-inning victory at St. Louis.
EDGE Analysis
The Milwaukee second baseman knocked home the automatic runner in the 10th with a single to give his club a 3-2 lead. Turang has anchored the division-leading Brewers with a .286 (18-for-63) average, two homers, two steals, 10 runs scored and nine RBI in 17 games this month. Overall, the 25-year-old has enjoyed a fantastic breakout season and is now slashing .286/.356/.436 with 18 homers, 24 stolen bases, 95 runs scored and 77 RBI across 632 plate appearances.

Turang isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
Turang doesn't typically bow out of the lineup whenever the Brewers face a lefty, but the team will use Thursday's matchup against Ranger Suarez as an opportunity to get the white-hot Turang a day to rest. Andruw Monasterio will fill in at the keystone and bat seventh.

Turang went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and two walks Monday in a 10-8 loss to the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Turang got Milwaukee off to a quick start with a solo blast to lead off the bottom half of the first inning. The long ball was his second in as many days, and Turang has now gone deep 11 times across his past 28 contests. Over that stretch, he's slashing a robust .340/.407/.708 with 24 RBI, 23 runs and three stolen bases. The power surge has seemingly come out to nowhere -- prior to that 28-game stretch, Turang had homered just once over his previous 30 appearances.

Turang (wrist) will start at second base and bat sixth Sunday against the Giants, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Turang sat out Saturday's 7-1 loss after being hit by a pitch on the wrist in Friday's series opener, but he's ready to rejoin the lineup after missing just one game. The second baseman has been one of the best hitters in baseball during August and has a 1.190 OPS with eight home runs, six doubles, 20 RBI, 16 runs and two steals in 20 games this month.

Turang (wrist) is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Turang was hit by a pitch Friday night and tested out the injury pregame to see if he'd be able to play Saturday. It seems as though his wrist didn't respond well, as he's not a part of the starting nine. Caleb Durbin will slide over to second base while Anthony Seigler plays third base.

Turang is tentatively in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against San Francisco, but he's testing out how his wrist feels while swinging before confirming he can play, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Turang was hit in the wrist by a pitch Friday and remained in the game. However, the wrist doesn't appear to be 100 percent. Turang will go through pregame warmups to make sure he can play, but he's tentatively penciled into Saturday's lineup.

Turang went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional RBI against the Cubs in a 7-0 victory Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Turang broke the seal on the scoring in the contest with a solo shot to left field in the third inning, then added a run-scoring single in the eighth. The long ball was Turang's seventh over his past 14 contests -- a somewhat improbable stretch for the infielder, who went deep seven times over 155 games last season and whose hard-hit rate ranked in the bottom ninth percentile leaguewide during that campaign. This year, Turang has lifted his hard-hit rate all the way up to the 62nd percentile, and that's paid off with 13 home runs to go along with 60 RBI, 74 runs and 21 stolen bases along with a solid .763 OPS through 119 games.

Turang is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Turang and fellow left-handed-hitting regular Sal Frelick will hit the bench Sunday while the Reds send southpaw Andrew Abbott to the bump for the series finale. Andruw Monasterio -- who provided a pinch-hit three-run home run in the 11th inning of Saturday's 6-5 win -- will be rewarded with a start at second base Sunday in place of Turang.
