Eibner suffered a left lateral ankle sprain in Tuesday's game against the Rays, Sports Radio 610's Josh Vernier reports.
EDGE Analysis
He was replaced by Jarrod Dyson in left field midway through Tuesday's game after suffering the injury, and there will be more tests on the ankle after the game. Eibner was just getting settled into a nice semi-regular role with Kansas City after getting called up from Triple-A, but it now looks like he could be headed for a DL stint.

Eibner is out of the lineup Monday against the Rays, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Even after Kendrys Morales returned to action Sunday, Eibner still drew the start in left field over Jarrod Dyson. He'll now take a seat following three straight starts and an impressive 5-for-11 effort at the dish.

Eibner will start in left field and bat seventh Sunday against the White Sox, Rustin Dodd of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
One day after driving in the winning run in the Royals' rousing ninth-inning comeback win, Eibner will get another turn in left field while Alex Gordon (wrist) remains on the DL for roughly the next month. The lefty-hitting Jarrod Dyson could eventually end up seeing most of the reps in left field, but Eibner has been the main beneficiary of playing time in this series with the White Sox starting southpaw pitchers in two of the three games.

Eibner went 2-for-5 with a double, RBI and run scored in Saturday's 8-7 victory over the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie was hitting out of the eight-hole, and came through with some extremely timely hitting to cap off a miraculous rally. Eibner singled in Drew Butera following a Jarod Dyson intentional walk in the ninth, snapping a 7-7 tie and sending the Royals home improbable winners. The 27-year-old could conceivably carve out some playing time by filling the designated hitter role that he was in Saturday, along with an occasional start in the outfield.

Eibner was recalled from Triple-A Omaha on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Following the news that Mike Moustakas (knee) would likely be out for the year, the Royals needed a new bat at the major league level, giving Eibner the chance at a promotion. The 27-year-old is slashing .309/.411/.537 through 41 games with the Storm Chasers this season, making him a nice addition to the Kansas City roster. However, his playing time will likely be limited, as Lorenzo Cain, Jarrod Dyson, and Paulo Orlando will probably see most of the starts in the outfield.

Eibner has a .309/.411/.537 line after playing in 41 games at Triple-A Omaha.
EDGE Analysis
After starting his second consecutive season at Omaha, Eibner has become a viable candidate to appear in the show. Eibner's batting average is once again above the .300 mark while his on-base percentage and slugging percentage have shot up from last year's .364 and .514. With 10 home runs and 27 walks through 41 games, Eibner is on pace to demolish 2015's figures, when he finished with 19 home runs and 38 walks. Due to Alex Gordon going down with a wrist injury, the door is open for Eibner to get his first taste of the MLB and see if his batting skill can translate to a higher level.

Eibner (undisclosed) was placed on the 7-day DL, the Kansas City Star's Andy McCullough reports. He was replaced on the Triple-A roster by Lane Adams, who was playing very well at Double-A Northwest Arkansas. It is unclear how serious his injury is, but he was not likely to be much of a factor at the big league level this season.

Eibner (foot) homered twice in Wednesday's spring game against the Dodgers. Eibner isn't generating much buzz with regards to earning a roster spot, but replaced Paulo Orlando in Wednesday's game and homered in the seventh and ninth innings of the contest. He dealt with a foot issue earlier in the spring, but now appears good to go moving forward. Considering his .536 batting average and five long balls this spring, the Royals' prospect could potentially see big league action this year, though the 26-year-old seems poised to begin the season at Triple-A Omaha.

Eibner left Saturday's Cactus League game against the White Sox with a bruised left foot, Andy McCullough of the Kansas City Star reports. The Royals are saying Eibner was removed strictly for precautionary reasons, but consider him day-to-day until he actually returns to the field. Prior to exiting, Eibner hit his third home run of the spring, raising his average to .542. However, he isn't on the 40-man roster and it seems likely he will head to Triple-A to start the year.

Royals center field prospect Brett Eibner went 5-for-5 with a double, two home runs, and nine RBI on Wednesday night for Triple-A Omaha. Eibner hit a pair of three-run home runs as part of his massive night, and is now hitting .409/.500/.909 with two doubles and three home runs over the first six games of the season. He hit .243/.330/.451 in 2013, but he hit .266/.354/.514 with 13 doubles, seven triples, and 14 home runs over the last 70 games of the season. Eibner is not a top prospect, but he could be a solid waiver-wire pickup if you need an outfielder.
