Anderson (forearm) will throw three 15-pitch innings in a simulated game Saturday, Michael Wagaman of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran lefty is shooting to rejoin the starting rotation at some point over the Athletics' upcoming six-day road trip that consists of stops in Baltimore and Tampa. Anderson got through a Wednesday bullpen session free of setbacks, and Saturday's projected 45-pitch workload could be the final step before he's deemed ready for activation.

Manager Bob Melvin said Anderson (forearm) could start during the team's upcoming road trip, which runs Sept. 11-16, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson got through a bullpen session with no issues Wednesday, and the southpaw could be cleared to rejoin the rotation sometime next week if everything goes as planned during an extended bullpen Saturday. He's been on the shelf since Aug. 28 with a forearm strain.

Anderson (forearm) threw off flat ground Sunday and could progress to mound work Monday, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson was first able to play catch Friday after landing on the disabled list with a forearm strain, so it's good to see him progressing through his throwing program. The 30-year-old remains without an official timetable for his return, but a the return picture could come into focus once he's completes a bullpen session.

Anderson was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a left forearm strain.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson joins Sean Manaea (shoulder) as the second Oakland starter in less than a week to land on the disabled list. This comes after the southpaw was knocked around for five runs in just 2.2 innings against the Astros on Monday. The severity of the issue isn't known at this point, but forearm strain's are often a precursor to a more serious injury, so the A's figure to proceed cautiously. Ryan Dull was recalled from Triple-A Nashville in a corresponding move, while a replacement for Anderson in the rotation has yet to be announced.

Anderson's next scheduled start was bumped to Monday at Houston, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson was originally set to start in Minnesota on Sunday, but the Athletics will instead bring up Chris Bassitt to give their starting rotation an additional day of rest. Anderson has allowed only two runs across his last four starts (26.2 innings), and now has a tougher matchup -- on paper -- against the Astros.

Anderson (3-3) got the win Tuesday, firing seven shutout innings with one hit and one walk while striking out six against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson was superb, working around a leadoff double in the fourth inning and facing just one above the minimum over seven frames for his first win in nearly a month. The lefty has gone back-to-back outings working at least seven innings without allowing a run -- and has done so in three of his last four starts -- to work to a minuscule 0.68 ERA over 26.2 innings in August. He'll look to keep it rolling Sunday in Minnesota.

Anderson struck out two in seven scoreless innings Friday against the Tigers, allowing one walk and two hits in a no-decision.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson was fantastic in Friday's outing, needing just 74 pitches (49 strikes) to get through seven innings while inducing 11 groundouts. This was the first time in nine starts this season that Anderson has logged seven innings, and it stands as his third quality start of the year. The left-hander has a 4.64 ERA and 1.48 WHIP with a mediocre 21:11 K:BB in 42.2 innings. With the A's currently holding a four-man rotation, Anderson's next scheduled start would be against the Dodgers at home.

Anderson (2-2) allowed two earned runs on six hits, a walk and a hit batsman over six innings in a win over the Rangers on Monday. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw bounced back in impressive fashion after having been hit hard by the Giants in his last outing. It was only the second time in six starts that Anderson has reached the sixth inning, and his strikeout total qualified as a season high. The fact the Athletics offense afforded him a 5-0 lead after two innings certainly seemed to have helped, with Anderson mostly cruising through his six frames (91 pitches) with the exception of a two-run home run he allowed to Elvis Andrus in the third. Now having evened his record, Anderson will look to get over .500 for the first time this season in a Saturday start against the Rockies at Coors Field.
