Fisher walked one and struck out three in a scoreless seventh inning Monday to record his third hold of the season in a win over the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
The Blue Jays needed five relievers to complete the final four innings, and Fisher was the most effective of the bunch as the carved up the bottom of New York's order after Toronto took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. Fisher went the entire month of June without allowing a run, delivering a 0.68 WHIP and 19:3 K:BB over 13.1 innings, and two of his three holds have come in the last week as he works his way into a higher-leverage role in the bullpen.

Fisher will open Saturday's game against the Athletics, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fisher will be making his first start at any level since his time with the Dodgers' Double-A affiliate in 2023. The 24-year-old righty has been great out of the bullpen since joining the Blue Jays earlier this month, tossing 8.1 shutout innings while striking out 12 batters and walking one. Eric Lauer and Paxton Schultz are expected to be available out of the bullpen once Fisher leaves the game.

Fisher (1-0) picked up the win Thursday, recording the final out in the top of the 11th inning in a 7-6 victory over the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Brendon Little allowed the phantom runner to score in both the 10th and 11th frames, but Fisher retired Elias Diaz to close out the 11th and then fell into the win column when the Blue Jays scored twice in the bottom of the inning. It was Fisher's first career win in the majors in his fifth appearance, and the 24-year-old righty has been very effective so far in a low-leverage role, posting a 0.00 ERA, 0.56 WHIP and 6:0 K:BB in 5.1 innings.
